Although the Maymom backflow protectors I received seem to be essentially interchangeable with the original Spectra parts, the membrane on the Maymom protectors is brighter white and more matte-finish, and they may be a tiny bit After trying the original membrane in the plastic housing, I found it to fit well and work effectively. I have had no issues with them. At first I was concerned since they weren't identical to the ones that came with my pump. However, they work perfectly and are worth the money. My pump may actually work better with these than with the ones that came with it.

One of the pieces of my Spectra S2 fell apart. Although it wasn't a component that broke off with the bottle falling on the floor, obviously without it the bottle wouldn't work. I compared them to the Nexus 7 and they did the same thing, pretty much no difference Parts original to the machine. It was only the one piece I needed, so I got extras, but I have back-ups in case it happens again so I won't be without my pump for the two days it takes to arrive.

I read a review saying there was a problem with the suction. That happened to me, however, I switched the end of the tube so the opposite end went to the pump, and the opposite end went to this backflow. Exactly what I needed. As with the original pump, this one also pumps. This is a recommended course, especially since Spectra wants you to go through a second leg of their exam A warranty process of mailing them back and replacing the parts could take up to a week. That's a waste of everyone's time, and my supply is too valuable for that! I am glad that I had temporary manual backups since these were fast to arrive with prime.

I've been using these with my Spectra S2 perfectly. Because I am an exclusive pumper, I have gone through a few sets so far. The original set from Spectra has endured exactly as long as each set from Spectra does.
