Selected User Reviews For Lansinoh Laboratories Soothies Gel Pads, 6 Count
These packs usually cost $5 for a pair. A box of two items is referred to as an item. As a result, when I saw "6 count" in the title, I assumed it meant six boxes. Instead, they count each pad as its own "count. " If you scroll down to the description, you'll see this. Because this is a bulk item, it is likely that the buyer already knows what he or she is getting and thus does not need to read the description. As a result, this strikes me as poor marketing. The product is excellent, but the seller is exploiting customers with their naming convention.
My nipples were extremely sore and bleeding during the first few days of breastfeeding. Every time my baby latches on, I want to scream and cry. I discovered these and used them to help my nipples heal in between feedings. It was fantastic to put them in the fridge. Depending on how much you leak, they can last for a few days. I was very careful with them to ensure that they lasted as long as possible because they aren't cheap, but I believe I went through 4 or 5 pairs before they were completely healed. I haven't had any issues since then, but I have recommended them to every new mother I know. They can save your life. br>.
(Don't worry, new mommas, that feeling will pass and things will get SO much better!)br>Until your baby gets better at latching and you toughen up, these soothies will come in handy! While I'm wearing another pair, I put one in the fridge. br>These magical gel sticky pads can be used in a variety of ways. They cool down to give you some relief. Even on the coldest of days (if you know what I mean), they keep your private parts private. They also aided in the healing of mine before I had my newest human's ties adjusted and he improved his sucking abilities. br>These are well worth the money, and they make a wonderful gift for a new mother!.
I can not say for sure, but I believe there is a link between thrush and using these soothies. For the first few weeks of nursing, I relied on these. I never wore a set for more than two days at a time. After about 2 hours, My baby and I both developed thrush after three weeks. We took thrush medication, I switched to cotton nursing pads, and everything seemed to be back to normal after that. However, I ran out of cotton nursing pads and had to rely on these for the next 12 hours. All of my thrush symptoms and pain returned within two days of starting to use these again. It could just be a fluke. br>br> Or they could be causing my thrush to develop. These, I believe, keep my nipples moist, dark, and warm while also holding milk against the skin (I leak a lot). This is an ideal environment for yeast to reproduce.
It's just that you wish you didn't have to rinse your nipples before nursing. Also, while some users have stated that it works well with lanolin, this product should not be used in conjunction with any other product.
These are extremely helpful. I was given these as a gift and used them for the first time 10 days after giving birth. I was so taken with them that I immediately ordered three more packs. I don't need to apply lanolin cream anymore because these provide instant relief and protection. I don't think I'll need them much longer now that I'm 18 days postpartum, but they were extremely helpful when I first started breastfeeding!.
You'll need these patches in your life and on your nips if you're a breastfeeding or pumping mom. If you're thinking about getting some for your cracked nipples, now is the time. Your nipples will thank you, as will your baby.
However, because they only last 72 hours, they can become costly if you need to use them frequently. Because the gel is sticky, lint easily adheres to it. When you unsnap the flap on your nursing bra after the first time, they don't stay on by themselves.
