I don't believe so. You're not putting it on the flange, are you? It was only a small amount of spray. My baby still enjoys his pumped milk as much as he does his fresh milk.

I liked this product at first, but then I noticed a rancid odor on myself, pumping parts, and bra, which I mistook for breast milk at first. It was only after that that I realized it was this spray. I started rubbing a small amount of organic virgin coconut oil on my nipples before pumping, and it works just as well and smells a lot better, plus it gives you more control because you're not spraying into the shield. I recently cleaned out an old eye cream container and filled it with coconut oil. It's a lot less work and a lot less money! Despite the fact that it served its purpose, I would not purchase it again.
At first, I was skeptical, but I figured anything to keep me from giving up was worth a try. Because I'm a "over producer" (twin mom) and pump 8-hours a day, I suffer from painful letdown. I have to feed my babies nine times a day just to keep up. So painful and uncomfortable! I was chafed, blistered, cracked, bleeding, and sore from the experience. I changed flange sizes, purchased a new pump, attempted manual pumping, and did everything! The situation is still bad. I was on the verge of quitting because it hurt, I wasn't producing enough, and I was exhausted. So tired. After that, I gave it a go. AMAZING! I'm serious. It's going to be a game changer! My breastfeeding journey has given me a new lease on life. Pumping is less time consuming and less difficult. I'm actually producing more when I'm in less or no pain. Pumping is no longer a chore for me!.
Update - So here's what I've discovered after using this product for a few weeks. You'll get a film of the spray in the tops of your bottles if you spray it on the shields that are attached to everything else. I start by removing the shields and putting the end in a burp rag to keep the excess spray from leaking out. Also, because the spray is oil-based, if you just rinse your shields after use, you'll still have a nice layer of it on them. I've discovered that you don't have to re-enter your information. br>br>This product is extremely simple to use - just spray it on every time. br>br> On each shield, you only need to use a single spray. It certainly alleviates the discomfort associated with pumping. While it doesn't completely remove my anger, I'm still annoyed that I didn't realize this was a problem until six months had passed. I've been pumping since my son was born with a cleft lip and palate, and it feels great to finally have some relief! Only thing I'd like to mention is that it leaves an oily residue on your breasts and shields (even after washing!).

I've had less chafing, and pumping with lubricant is a lot more pleasant. My bottle, on the other hand, was almost half empty after only two weeks. I really wanted to like this, but after applying it, I have to constantly adjust my flanges while pumping because the lubricant causes them to move a lot and my nipples end up off center and rubbing against the side of the flange.
