Greetings, and thank you for your inquiry. Our filters last 12 to 15 days, but after each 12-day period, you can put them in the sun. 15 days to "recharge" the filters, allowing them to be used for approximately 2-years. I stuck it to the underside of the opening lid with a piece of tape. (It still opens easily. ) Other products I've tried had to sit in the pail's bottom, underneath the bag. There was no assistance at all. The stench persisted even after you slid open the lid. So far, it appears to be doing a good job of absorbing the odor of baby poop. Although it's only been a week, there are at least a dozen loads in there, and I don't get sick when I open the lid. Word up.
"Oh boy, I didn't even realize there was a filter on this thing," I realized as I was constructing a new diaper genie for a new child. " Which explains why my older genie smelled like a bag of rotten eggs left in the trunk of a 1970s car parked in a mall parking lot in July Texas. To put it bluntly, it's a bad situation. br>br>I bought these because they were reasonably priced and I figured why not? The filter removed the foul odor of a two-year-old genie that had been used on a daily basis in less than a day. In my opinion, that is a religious miracle. br>br>If it were possible, I would give this item more than five stars. It improved my family's quality of life while also protecting our nostrils.
To go with the nursery theme, I have a stylish ubbi. I should point out that there is no filter, but the double locking system promised odor control. HA right! One small detail was overlooked. When kept closed, it seals in the odor. But, boy, you practice your "Flash" speed when opening it, but you can't seem to close it quickly enough. Worst of all, the odor lingered in the room, and airing it out was great until you had to open the Ubbi once more. I used Clorox wipes and even soaked it in bleach water to clean the Ubbi. It masks the odor until the next time you change your diaper. I was able to relate to another customer's experience with her Ubbi after reading about it. I decided to give this product a try because her situation was similar to mine. It only took two pouches (one on the bottom and one tapped to the side, as she advised) and the miracle happened in less than an hour. I took out my Ubbi and opened it. nothing. I'm at a loss for words. it works!.
And omg. What. There is a distinction. My mother doesn't believe there is a odor (there is), so I can sit in my living room without smelling urine. It's difficult to care for a parent who is unconcerned about hygiene and refuses to acknowledge that a problem exists. These tiny pouches are fantastic! I also appreciate the fact that they can be recharged in direct sunlight. In addition, unlike a plugin or spray, there is no unpleasant odor. There isn't any odor at all. This is fantastic. I couldn't find any reviews on it being used by the elderly, so I figured what had I got to lose? I'm glad I purchased them.
I traded in my diaper genie for a chic Ubbi diaper pail, but I quickly regretted it when the stench rose to new heights (and not in a good way)! I liked that the Ubbi can be used with any trash bag, but regular trash bags, even those scented with Febreeze, didn't help at all with the odor! The odor that seeped out every time I opened the pail to add a new diaper, and especially when it was full and time to empty, was so strong that it filled the room and seemed to hang there for 15 minutes. 20 mins. My husband couldn't stand it and begged me to return to the old genie, which contained the odor much better, but after spending so much money on the Ubbi, I decided to give these little pouches a shot to see if they could save the day. and let me tell you, they do wonders! Giving these a try is something I strongly urge you to do. I now have two in my pail, one on the bottom and the other taped to the lid, and they both immediately began to work. There will be no more complaints about the dog's fart smell in the nursery or false sniffs assuming the baby has pooped. I'm looking forward to putting them on a pair of filthy sneakers.
I've only had them for a week, but they're fantastic. I stuffed one into the bottom of the small trash can where I keep my son's diapers. There is a significant difference in my opinion! His soiled diapers used to fill the room with an unpleasant odor. In just a few minutes, the odor will be gone! I put one near the toilet in our bathroom and one in the trashcan in the kitchen. According to the instructions, after two weeks, you can "recharge them" by exposing them to direct sunlight for two hours. 3 hours, with the possibility of getting a couple more weeks out of them. I'll give it a shot when the opportunity arises. I'm glad I got to try them out and would recommend them to anyone. br>Recent changes: I don't believe the sunlight recharge worked as well as it should have, but they worked so well the first time that I don't mind re-using them. ordering every now and then.
I read a lot of reviews on this product and they honestly hyped me up into thinking these would get rid of the horrible odor in our diaper Genie, and while they did help a little, the pail still stinks up the room every time we open it. I stuffed two of them into the genie. One in the lid's slot and the other at the bag's bottom. I'll try putting another one on the lid to see if that helps, but I'm not optimistic. Will be updated. br>br> br>br>5/6/21 UPDATE: br>br>So even after "charging" them in the sun for the majority of the day, these didn't help at all. I was let down.
