For what age group is this suitable? How long has it been?

A child's temperament plays a big role in this. When my micro premie first got home (gestation 0 months), he could not use it. Now he can use it with one of his medications (one for pregnancy 2 months) but not another. The difference in thickness of the medication and the formula may have something to do with it.

You need to buy this if your child dislikes taking medicine! Let me start by saying this is my first Amazon review
5/5

I probably keep Amazon afloat by myself, which is saying something when you consider the fact that I probably keep Amazon afloat. A) My 6-month-old son is suffering from RSV. There have been a lot of miserable days. It is constantly necessary for her to take pain medicine to stay The problem with that is it is not scalable. The flavor of the medicine does not matter to her. She HATES it. A syringe will cause her to cry when she sees it coming as she approaches. In an attempt to break the stigma, we even put juice in it to try and break the association she has formed between the syringe and a stinky smell. Even after all this time, she's still a drama queen, still spitting and almost choked At 3 a. m. , it was still dark. After spending the night with her, I had to get up in the morning. Google being what it is, I pulled up this fun little device while browsing for ideas on how to give a baby medicine. "What the heck?" I thought. Purchased the book "" and it was delivered immediately. The item was shipped overnight to me at no additional cost. It was unlikely that I would receive much in return. There was no way she would fall for it, I thought. I had to spit it out the first time I placed a small piece in her mouth, so she would never take a binky again just to avoid that booby trap. This tool has worked wonders in my life, and I can pleasantly vouch for it! has not completely eliminated the fight she has to fight with giving her medicine. She still tries to spit it out when she notices what is going on, but it dispenses it to the back of the mouth, so this is far more difficult for her. According to the recipe, it bypasses the taste buds, which is very obvious because usually the moment of "what is coming out of my binky?" is over, and we wonder "what is going on?". The rest are all taken down by her without any struggle. My daughter seemed happy as a clam today after being given a full dose of ibuprofen! For us, this is a major achievement. There is no more blowing into her face to get her to swallow. She no longer has to inject some into her cheek and then blow into her mouth. For us both, it was a traumatic experience. In my opinion, this has contributed to her changing her mind about syringes. After seeing it for a while, she no longer tears up and spits It's been great working with you, The good thing is we have one less thing to worry about during a period that has been stressed and miserable for us. Experiencing some issues after using for a month or so, so I needed to update. There is no hassle at all now for me in giving my baby medicine! The item I like best for babies is this. Take advantage of this offer!.

The best purchase I have ever made
5/5

Having just received it yesterday, I have already fallen in love with The medicine I give to my toddler twice a day in the event of reflux. I bought the paci because he always spits out most of the medicine. He is very difficult to treat, so I ordered this to make things easier. Using it is easy. I think that the investment in this product has been worth it. He doesn't even realize he is receiving medicine. As well as saving me from having to deal with a sticky mess, I know that my child is receiving all the medication that When your baby isn't gaining properly as a result of reflux, you want to do everything within your power to assist It has yet to disappoint me when it comes to the Fridababy brand.

For reflux babies with GERD, this is a game changer
5/5

The GERD/reflux newborn baby that I had was a game changer because of this. As a result of milk coming back up constantly, she suffers from lots of esophagitis and we have fought daily with her to make sure she took her Zantac syrup so I was crying trying to get it into her cheek to make it easier for her. The pill actually comes out of the syringe (caps needed to express my excitement) and then I can remove the syringe part and plug the plunger and she keeps on pacifying herself as she absorbs the pills rather than dribbling them I know that it prevents her from vomiting any of the medications, so I am confident it is a suitable dose. We would like to suggest If you are going to give meds 15 minutes before their regular feed, you should do so so they are hungry and have the urge to nurse (unless your doctor has prescribed you to give them at a specific time). In this note I want to address a few comments about the negative reviews that had initially scared me that are now looking ridiculous to me. The following is the choking protocol It is important to not shoot the syringe down the baby's throat if they have difficulty sucking out the medication like mine does, or you risk doing so while they are inhaling, so you should turn the pacifier in their mouth instead. My immediate reaction is to think that this is common sense since you wouldn't shoot a syringe of meds in the throat without a pacifier attached There is a clear instruction to point it into their cheek, but a few reviewers apparently did not read this. After the meds are distributed, the pacifier becomes difficult to plug in This is not the most helpful piece of information, as I have a wiggly baby and it has fit into the pacifier like a charm without any issues while it's in her mouth. Even though it may take a few extra hands when in her peak wiggle mode, it's worth the extra effort to make sure she's still sucking away while the medication soaks in. A syringe must be attached to the pacifier to make it palatable The pacifier does not seem to work well with the syringe according to some reviews, but I have never had any issues. My practice is to attach the syringe before offering the pacifier so I won't have to fuss tying it up while she is sucking it. The simple way to attach the syringe is to insert it into its small hole, push it in and twist it Several negative comments have been made about the pacemaker being "floppy" We have a month-old girl who uses the zero scale In terms of firmness, I can hardly tell any difference between this pacifier and the silicone Soothie pacifiers that I have used for 3 months. Some reviews might be using pacifiers with a firmer grip- In the case of a child with a latex allergy, they suggest using one piece silicone pacifiers to avoid them breaking off in their mouths and choking as well as just in case the child breaks them off. It meets both of those requirements. The Soothie pacifier is similar to this.

I love it so much! He was only four months old when he was diagnosed with epilepsy a little over two months ago
5/5

Taking several oral medications throughout the day was tough for us. It took some time to figure out the best way to administer the medications. It has been a long time since we discovered this product, but when we finally tried it out at home, we were blown away. For over six weeks now, he has been successfully taking all of his oral liquid medications with the MediFrida pacifier without any issues. This is a favorite of ours and we have purchased three so far!.

This is a great product! It just needs a few tweaks
4/5

Thanks for posting this! I'm so glad I found it. In order to feed my 2 month old, he also needs to take a medication twice a day. As you can imagine, it was challenging to fit this around naptimes. As he stayed up until he had to eat, I woke him up to get him meds and hoped he'd doze off again. We are very satisfied with the pacifier. Initially, I pushed the medication in gently with the provided syringe, but it would get stuck and he would choke. Then I pushed it in too much, and he would choke. By switching to the syringe provided by the pharmacy, the drug was administered without any complications. It is covered with rubber on the inside (see the In this case, the medicine gets pulled in naturally since the syringe slides and is pulled in when he sucks down the pacifier. As a result, I just give him a pacifier in the night while he sleeps, and he gets his medications.
