The first time I used it, it broke

A design that fails to be functional or ergonomic. The site seemed perfect for those who are new to parenthood as well as for seasoned parents. Then again, you're going to have to try it on a It broke right before I was able to use it, so I was forced to return it. I noticed that the pin was missing instantly when I opened it. While similar in design to other electric files, this one is not easy to get to a baby's nail at the corners, where it is the sharpest. Just like other reviewers on similar designs, the light is useless because the disk blocks it. doesn't seem to be toxic to baby's skin as long as you use light fingers to sweep and make sure you don't make it too short. I used the smoothest file for young babies on my 9-mo's nail and it still took it down greatly. My recommendation is to avoid using this on babies. As long as you aren't allergic to it, you're ok.
