Selected User Reviews For Baby Trend Inertia Infant Car Seat Base, Grey
First and foremost, I dislike leaving negative reviews on products I have purchased, but I felt it was my responsibility to inform potential buyers of this car seat base that it was manufactured in 2014. It has a 6-year usable life, after which it will become non-usable and expire in 2020, according to safety standards. This product's manufacturing date is not stated anywhere in the seller's description, so please be aware of that before ordering.
PROS: Simple to install, with a nice safety feature and compatibility with other Baby Trend car seatsbr>br>CONS: Priceybr>br>We chose the inertia car seat at Babies R Us because we like the Ultralite Velocity jogging stroller that fits with it and the controlled motion base (which I also highly recommend even if you don't choose this car seat). In the event of a collision, this additional safety feature appears to offer superior protection. My husband would be picking up the baby from daycare while I dropped her off, so we needed a second base. While the LATCH connectors are simple to use, not having to switch the base between two cars twice a day is much more convenient. When we need to put the base in someone else's car, like my in-laws', the LATCH system makes it incredibly simple to install. laws. It's as simple as that. If you have a non-inertia baby trend car seat, you might want to consider getting this base for it because of how simple it is to use. We did, in fact, purchase the EZ- We purchased a Flex loc extra base by accident from the store, and it not only did not fit our car seat, but it was also much more difficult to install. And because it hangs over the edge of the seat, it may not fit in a smaller vehicle (I drive a Mitsubishi Outlander, a small SUV). br>br>The only disadvantage is the cost, which is significantly higher than the EZ-Base. If you only need to switch cars on occasion and not every day, the flex loc base is not worth the money; if you only need to switch cars on occasion and not every day, stick with the one base. It's easy enough to put together that a second base is probably not necessary.
It simply looks into the anchors, snaps the car seat into place, adjusts to the desired position, and that's all there is to it! Way better than the travel system's default base, which is also quite good! It's a smidgeon of the size of this one.
We purchased this car seat base in January 2021, only to discover that it was made in 2014 and would expire in December 2020. Please double-check your bases for any dates that have passed their expiration date. We were expecting a brand new base, not one that had been used previously.
The base is a great deal. It's exactly what I needed for a second vehicle, and it works perfectly.
It's a great product that's also incredibly simple to set up!.
It's a good product, and I had no choice but to purchase it because it was the only additional base that fit my Baby Trend baby car seat. I'm not sure why Baby Trend went with a different base than the one that came with the seat.
As a secondary base for my granddaughter, it worked out perfectly.
