These are NOT SAFE in carseats, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the American Pediatric Association, and ALL car seat manufacturers advise against using them because they can cause injury in crashes and reduce the effectiveness of the carseat's safety impact designs. A good carseat with tested attached infant head padding, such as the 1 rated Chicco Key Fit 30 or others like Graco Snug ride, Maxi Cosi, and others, will come with attached infant head padding. If the car seat does not have approved padding that has been tested, it should not be used. I wasn't aware years ago, but now I won't put my newborns in anything other than Chicco or top 5 infant carrier carseats with proper padding that came with seat. I hope this information is useful to some new parents. These can be used in strollers. Please, Gina, do not fall in love with a car seat.
