No, it does not attach to the seat; I have bad kidneys and use my at home. I've tried a lot of support pillows, and this one is by far the best. This is the best one I've come across. I've never used it in a car because I don't drive. br>I hope this information is useful.

It provides adequate support, though I found that because of the bow shape, I had to slide it up to my lower back rather than leaving it at the top of my pelvis in order for it to feel comfortable. Also, if your headrests don't tilt forward, you might get a crick in your neck because you'll be separated from the seat a little more. Otherwise, there are no issues, and I believe it is well worth the money.
It's very nice and it works. The only disappointment is that the bow portion of the vinyl has already peeled.
This lumbar back pillow is very comfortable. Firm, but not too firm, and adorable! It fits perfectly in my car and is ideal for long car journeys. It goes well with my Hello Kitty car theme.
