It's just a piece of towel fabric. The only difference is a strip around the top that allows you to hook it so it stays up on your chest or waist, and a zipper to make the hood part that goes over your seat headrest; otherwise, it's all terrycloth. It's what I use on my leather seats. However, if you get too wet, it will soak through, just like any other towel. As a result, it's best used when you're damp or sandy.
A plush microfiber towel has been used to make these. It's not light, but it's also not heavy, and it's right in the middle. They weren't good as a changing towel if they were too thick. We believe it strikes just the right note!
Thank you for your inquiry! Although the Transition Wrap provides a strong barrier, it is not waterproof. When completely drenched, some sweat may seep through, but for the most part, this isn't a problem.
If you sweat a lot, it's unlikely that you'll be able to keep moisture from getting on your seat. However, for the vast majority of applications, it is excellent. On a hot day, a small piece of cloth placed between your legs and the seat will keep you from sweating.

After a workout, I purchased this to protect my leather seats. This is nothing more than a cheap towel with a Velcro strip. It slid all over the seat and quickly soaked through. Save money by purchasing a long towel and rigging it to the headrest.

It's quite impressive. I've tried using towels and other items, but they always end up falling down. This bad boy is a stickler for staying put. It performs admirably. br>br>It takes a second to adjust, but once you've got it dialed in, you're ready to go. My ONLY gripe is that when you zip the end to hang it over the seat, it creates a point that rubs against the back of your head. I'm not sure what can be done about it, and it's certainly not a deal breaker, but it does feel strange at times.
