I wish these reviews had been available when I made my purchase; I've been using it for a year and decided to look under the installed car seat. I'm more than annoyed because the blue rubber inserts have left X marks on my hands. It's a new car for me! I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing this car seat protector not to do so!
The seat protector makes it easy to reach the latch anchors. The seat appears to be just as sturdy as it was before the seat protector was installed. I've put them on both my Chevy Impala and my Chevy Silverado.
My 2017 Chevy Traverse 2LT was too big for my bucket seats, but it fit perfectly in the back seat, which seats three people.
No, I tried it out, and it's a pain. Fortunately, I was able to find a FXXDUS car seat protector that was less expensive or two-fold. It was easy to fold this piece from the FXXDMYUS store.

br>br>After being installed on our leather seats for a short time, the "X" designs on the bottom of the seat "protector" left permanent "X" impressions in our brand new leather seats, as shown in the photos. br>br>I haven't tried these on cloth seats, so I'm not sure how they work. On cloth, they might be fine. However, they are a disaster on leather and will completely ruin your seats. br>br>While the concept is great, these seats are an epic fail when it comes to leather. They've destroyed my leather seats, too, like so many other reviewers (victims) with leather seats. NOT HAPPY. STAY AWAY FROM THESE IF YOUR VEHICLE HAS LEATHER SEATS! I truly hope that this information assists you in making your decision.
Permanent marks from stretching This cover was purchased to protect the seats in our new 2018 SUV, which cost a lot of money. The dreadful X design has stretched and depressed the leather after only a week of use. The goal of these is to protect your home's interior, but the design fails miserably. Our other SUV has had a car seat in it for ten months and hasn't stretched anywhere near as much as this one has in just one week. Avoid this product, especially if you have leather interiors, and be wary of the glowing reviews.
DO NOT MAKE A PURCHASE UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR RESEARCH. First and foremost, I had to return this product because most, if not all, car seat manufacturers, law enforcement agencies, and child safety organizations do not recommend using a product like this, especially one with rubberized non-stretchable non-removable non-removable non-removable non-removable non-removable non-removable non-removable non-removable non-removable non-removable non-removable non- Pads for the skids The reason for this is that they may obstruct the proper installation of the car seat. It wasn't until I took my car and car seat to my local sheriff's office for a car seat safety class and inspection that I realized how important it was. When I got home, I did some research and discovered that virtually every manufacturer and organization advises against using a product like this. You can check it out for yourself by doing a Google search. All you need to know can be found with a simple Google search or by looking up the manufacturer of your car seat. As a result, I returned this item and do not recommend it.
We own a 2021 Odyssey and believed we were protecting our investment by doing so. These were fantastic until I removed them. They 100% achieved exactly what I was trying to prevent - leather stretching and ruining leading to further depreciation. It doesn't matter how good a material is if it can't do what it's supposed to do. If you apply any pressure to these (which is necessary for safe car seat installation), your leather will be destroyed. We have a six-month-old and a two-year-old, so the amount of weight appears to have no bearing on the damage. Needless to say, a $2 towel would have been more appropriate. This product isn't for you if you're concerned about your investments. This is for you if you want to keep Cheerios out of a seat crack while not caring about your money. Needless to say, I'll be contacting the company to file a formal complaint.
Unless Brica wants to refund our money, I'm going to throw these away. The main (and possibly only) purpose of these is to protect our seats, but they did exactly the opposite, as shown in the photo. br>br>In retrospect, it seems self-evident that a seat protector's bottom should be flat, and that protruding rubber pads are begging to damage your seats. Be careful who you buy from.
While this was on the seat, a huge puke occurred. I didn't think the vomit got any further than the child's lap and the baby seat. There was quite a bit of slush on this seat protector after I removed the seat. But there aren't any on my posh premium leather seats! Yes, there is a print on the seats due to the printing/indentation. The indentation, however, vanished after 24 hours. For the previous 5 months, the protector had remained undisturbed.
I bought this to keep a car seat from ruining my new Lexus seats. During a trip to Florida, I had it installed for a week. I moved the car seat to a new location and was surprised to discover that THIS thing had left indentations in my seat when I removed it! What good is this if it also leaves indentations in my leather seats and stretches them? Try a different product with no underside plastic inserts that will ruin your leather seats.
Philthy has a new review for you today. br>br>Saving your seats from the seats of others. br>br>Yes, I'd like to add this item to my shopping cart. br>br>If you have children, you will have all of the associated accessories, regardless of their age. A car seat is universally considered one of them, unless you put it in the trunk, in which case you should be arrested. Car seats, on the other hand, are used by the majority of law-abiding citizens. If you have leather seats, however, the car seat, combined with the weight of your child, will make quite an impression. in the back seat of your car While this protector does an excellent job of preventing this, it does so at the expense of its own footprint. If you look at other reviews, you'll notice that this is a major flaw. While I'm confident the leather will snap back, it's a little unsettling. To protect the seat from possible damage, I'll place a towel between the rubber pads and the seat. br>br>With that caveat in mind, I strongly suggest this protector. To protect the underlying seat, it is made of a tougher material than other seat protectors. I built a retaining wall to catch crumbs, spills, and other debris from our children's messy tornado. This is an excellent addition to any arsenal against children and their collateral damage because it is simple to install and maintain.
