Good morning! The Munchkin Auto Seat Protector is made of soft, non-rigid fabric.
Yes! I've got these under a variety of seat systems, and the latch system works with all of them. The indents on the sides serve as access points for the seat latches.
I also use this seat cover for a youth booster, but mine does not have the latch system; instead, it is the type that uses the car seat beat. My son, who is eight years old, is my primary source of income. The latch cannot be inserted into the seat protector because there is no slot. I believe it will prevent the latch interface from working.

I was dreading taking the car seat out and seeing the damage once we arrived at our destination. It wasn't pretty either! This protector, on the other hand, did exactly what it was supposed to do- It prevented the vomit from reaching the seat! And there were a LOT of them. To be fair, a very small amount of water got through where the car seat latches on, but that's it. br>br>I took out the protector and hosed it down, possibly due to the rubbery surface, and now I'm waiting for it to dry before reinstalling it. br>br>Would highly recommend, and I'll never drive with my kids again without it.
Take it from someone who recently returned a leased SUV that had indentations in the car seat. So when I got my new leased car, this was one of the first things I bought, even before installing our son's car seat, and I am very pleased with it for its thick no-slip material that provides ample protection, as well as a few extra pockets to hold your kids' toys, sipper, and other items. Above all, it is inexpensive to construct. br>br>BUILD QUALITY:
- Despite its small size and package, it is quite thick and provides adequate protection from car seats indenting your seats. br>- To keep the car seat from slipping, the four corners are extra thick and textured. br>br>HOW TO USE IT:
- Regardless of how tight I tightened the bottom of my child's car seat, it never gave way and provided adequate protection against the car seat's edges. br>- The foot pockets are a little small, but they'll do for carrying your child's toys or a sipper. br>- The child's car seat does not slip at all over it due to the textured nature of the material. It's secure in its positionbr>- It doesn't go all the way around the car seat's base, but it does provide some spill protection - Food crumbles, on the other hand, fly around like crazy! THINGS THAT ARE NOT SO GOOD:
- The only minor issue I had was that the back portion got in the way and made installing the lower LATCH anchors a little difficult. This could be a one-of-a-kind situation for my vehicle (a 2017 Nissan Murano). br>br>FINAL THOUGHTS: br>Whether you buy or lease a car, this is a great item to have to protect your seats. And if you do decide to lease a car, trust me when I say that it will pay for itself in excess of ten times its original cost when you return it!.
When you have a leather seat, it is not anti-slip. Will not stay in place, let alone under the car seat. I suppose it's simple to clean. It was something I should've returned.
This was purchased to go underneath a convertible carseat in a Toyota Prius, and it was used with the Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Carseat rearfacing. br>br>After first installing it in my car, there are two things that I really like about this product. It's made of a tough material that's light on the back so it won't stain our cloth seats. I'm also blown away by how well it fits on the seat and how easily the latch straps wrap around it. It encompasses the entire area beneath the car seat's base as well as the area in front of the car seat. br>br>My only disappointment is that the top part does not rise a little higher to protect my little guy's shoes. Because the back of the seat will still get filthy from his kicking, I'll have to come up with another way to protect the rest of the seat. Overall, I would strongly suggest this as an additional layer of protection against damage beneath and in front of a car seat.
My son's evenflo maestro car seat, which is fairly heavy duty, is not as wide as I had anticipated. It's a good fit, but I wish there was an overlay for additional seat protection. I'll give you an update in a few months to see how it's holding up. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> Food and liquid spills are caught, but the seat is not protected from indentation from the car seat. It also doesn't cover the back part of the seat, leaving indentation marks on the bottom and top. (What you pay for is what you get. ) Spending a little more might have been worthwhile.
But I reasoned that no defense is better than none. So I bought one to give it a try. I can honestly say that I'm glad I took the chance! It does an excellent job of protecting my seats! It did not discolor my seats as some other reviewers claimed, and it does not slide around; it stays put! I would definitely buy another for my next child, and I would rate this product a ten out of ten! If you have a car seat in your vehicle, this is a must-have accessory!.
The padding on this one is a little thin. Installing a car seat on it can also be a pain because it slides around a little during the process. When the car seat is properly installed, it does not move around. br>br>I purchased this Munchkin seat cover as well as another cover from the Lusso brand. The Lusso is $10 more expensive, but it covers a larger portion of the back of the seat and has a strap that wraps around the head rest to help keep it in place. In addition, the Lusso has a 2-inch cushion. The munchkin's skin is three times thicker than the munchkin's. If money is your main concern, the munchkin will complete the task. I would recommend something else if you want the most protection.
