I really wanted to like this product because it's very nice, long-lasting, and looks great in a car. Unfortunately, this makes our car seat dangerous. It will not be secure if you try to secure your car seat base or car seat on it. Ours swung a few inches to the side, and we had a certified car seat expert give us his opinion at the police station. He thought it was dangerous, and after seeing the difference in how the seat moved with and without it, we agreed. Perhaps it would work better if it was attached to the seat in a different way than at the top? The bottom half of the page is empty. Although it appears to be opulent, I believe that safety comes first.
If you have leather seats and plan to install a car seat on them, I strongly advise you to get this seat protector first. It's well-made, with a thick bottom cushion that will effectively protect your leather seats from car seat cutting edges. When your child is buckled into the car seat, it will press against your leather seat, and any movement caused by the road surface or braking can easily damage your seats. This protector is extremely effective and will provide you with peace of mind.
The problem was that there were times when we would stop at McDonald's for a treat on our way home. What a relief to have this in my new vehicle! It went off without a hitch. It was easy to wipe off and kept the car clean. I also used it to protect the inside of the seat from plants and flowers for the garden by laying it down the length of the seat. (I had plants in my trunk as well).
I wanted it for my concealed carry gun because I didn't want to have to drill holes in my dash for a holster, and any gun-specific option was inexpensive. Because it's supposed to be under a baby seat, it doesn't have a strap to hold it to the front of the seat, so it moves around a little, but that's life when you're improvising! With the faux leather parts, wearing shorts and sitting on this can be a little slimy.
It stays in place after a couple of days of usage.

The second issue was that it was covered in cat hair. If I had paid for a used one, I wouldn't be upset. I was charged for a new item, but I received a used item instead. I believe the item works as it should, but I haven't had it long enough to know for sure.
This is in my booster seat to help prevent stains and crumbs from the child's food. It works well, but it moves around a little. Also, the slats in the back where the back meats the seat part are partially open, allowing crumbs to fall into the crack of the back of the seat on occasion. It does a good job of protecting the seat for the most part.
This is exactly what I was looking for to keep my car seat and base in place. This is a very sturdy and slim item that is simple to install and stays put! I'm so glad I got a second one for our other car. This seat protector is fantastic!.
