I needed something to protect the seat from eating on the road and putting bags on it all the time. I spilled some soda on my passenger seat and it literally rolled off, which was a pleasant surprise. I had no idea it could withstand water. Although it has the little grip strips on the top to keep things from sliding, which you would want if you're using it under a child's safety seat, the only thing I would say if I had to say anything negative about this product is that it doesn't have the little grip strips on the top to keep things from sliding, which you would want if you're using it under a child's safety seat. However, the bottom of the cover tends to slide around a lot on the car seat, which surprised me because I have cloth seats. I folded a towel in half and placed it underneath the cover, which works like a charm and prevents the bottom from sliding around.
My seats are leather, and the booster seat in my daughter's car had too much wiggle room. When she gets in and out of the booster seat, the seat guardian provides more grip so it stays in place. I'm more comfortable with her transitioning to the booster seat with the seat guardian because it appears to secure the booster seat. It also protects the leather seats from indentation, scuffs, and general messiness, which I appreciate. I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it because it's a cheap but effective way to protect the back seat.
The protector appeals to me, but the color is unappealing. I was expecting a grey/black color scheme. It's brown, and it looks completely out of place in my black interior. I'm fortunate that it's in the third row, where I won't have to see it, or I'd return it. People asked what color it was supposed to be in the question section because they received a brown one as well, but everyone said it was grey. As a result, I proceeded to purchase it. You need to know exactly what you're buying from the product information.
It's great; it's simple to use and remove when you need to clean it or remove the Booster Seat; it's easy to use the seatbelt; and it's the perfect size for the seats in my Sedona minivan. br>I've been using it for a few months and can confirm that the Booster seat does not leave any marks on the seats. br>I wish the shoe cover was a little longer, but other than that, I really like it.
There were no unnecessary pockets or flaps on this seat cover, which was a great feature. It remained firmly in place on the seat. The material was not thick/dense enough to prevent indentations in the leather seats, so I had to return it for a new one. If that isn't a concern for you, this is a fantastic option to think about.
If you've been using a booster seat like I have, I strongly advise you to get one. I was getting tired of some old ones I had that were too thin and too large (originally designed for car seats). This item is thick, and the back catches all of the crumbs. At the same time, it's a breeze to remove, clean, and replace (or store in my trunk so an adult can ride without worrying about the seat).
I had no idea how much gets lost behind those boosters until this came along and caught it all. It stays put and is easy to pick up and toss out the snacks it has gathered. It's being used in a 2017 Ford Explorer XLT with the leather trimmed cloth captain chairs, and it fits well and doesn't get in the way of the seat belt. Don't forget to get back seat protectors to protect your seats from muddy shoes.
Velcro should not be used on fabric seats, in my opinion. This is a terrible concept. Furthermore, the box specifies that it is intended for four people. We bought them for our older kids' lower-profile boosters (at this rate, they'll be in boosters until they're driving, thanks to the new height requirements), but these are HUGE and appear to be designed only for bulkier boosters.
