Sidewalls have a few scuffs. The text has been updated. The tire has just arrived. I'll update more after I install it and ride it for a while, but if I don't, I'll return it. br>This is a shipping review. br>Sent with a shipping tag wrapped around a small section of tire, arrived as if it had been buried in the dirt, sidewalls scuffed as if it had been kicked around and slid around on its sides, never being carried. Tires were not cheap, but they were supposed to be the best on the market. It would have been nice to have a bag or full tire wrap to protect it until I got it. br>There has been no effort to protect any part of the tire, particularly the side walls, which are never intended to scrub the ground. Very let down. I've been wearing it for over a year. Almost perfect ride. br>Smooth and comfortable, with plenty of traction. There is one gripe. I figured out why it was getting so much mileage. It stands at a considerable height. My motorcycle had been lowered by two inches. This tire was rubbed furiously, and it was raised an inch. Now rubs slightly for two up with shocks full. Rubbing isn't an issue when you're alone, but you'll need shocks set for two. I also adjusted the rake of the bike so that my view is at least an inch higher over the windscreen now. I'm going back to a new stock tire because I have a touring buddy with a stock setup. He will adore it if you give it to him. It's a fantastic tire, but it's not right for me.
D is for D Road King. These tires are fantastic. On dry or wet roads, they increase my confidence and control. When it comes time to replace this set, my only wish is that Michelin offers them in a WIDE White Wall version. This was a truly incredible and enjoyable performance.
Even when wet, it has a good grip.
