No, I've been mowing on a wet lawn, making uphill turns that I couldn't make because my old tires were spinning. I have yet to see any damage from these tires as they turn and move through a wet lawn.

I had my doubts about how well these would work. In the back yard of my house, there is a steep incline that leads to a canal. I wanted to return or sell my John Deere the day I got it because the original tires slipped, slid, and dug up the yard. I got stuck halfway up the hill and couldn't get it to move. The potential was there, but there was no way to use it. By the time I finished mowing the lawn, I was exhausted and frustrated. I'm sure my neighbors were irritated by the yelling and swearing. The tires were installed in about 5 minutes. In a literal sense. The efficiency with which they operate astounded me. I think I only slid once, and I'll try it again from a different angle next time, but these tires were so good that I forgot how much they cost. I normally wouldn't spend $150 on a new mower to fix a problem, but I did this time and don't regret it in the least.
My mower's standard turf tires aren't always easy to get out of a ditch, especially when the ground is wet from the summer rains. I required a shoe with a more aggressive tread pattern. I was looking for bar tread tires, which are commonly found on farm tractors, when I came across these tires. mounted on rims that are identical to the ones that came with my car. br>br>I am extremely pleased with the performance of the tires. The tire tracks can be seen in the photo, but they are on the weedy surface of the undeveloped lot next to us. The tires simply dig in and climb in the healthy turf on my side of the property line, leaving no scars on the surface. I'm not getting stuck in this ditch, regardless of what these tires do to the ground surface. On occasion, I've had to use a come-along to get my mower out of this ditch. along- When I was stuck on standard turf tires, I used the winch. The wheels/tires were easy to install. br>br> Because my mower is still relatively new, the old wheels simply slid off after the retainers were removed. I've dismantled an old fixer-upper and removed the wheels. Upper mowers, on the other hand, were a real pain. An old mower's wheel and axle may have rusted together over time. br>br>I recommend using a thin coat of anti-static paint. When reassembling, apply seize compound to the axle. If you ever want to go back to your old wheels or need to replace a tire, this will ensure that it comes off easily the next time. br>br>After you install your new wheels and tires, you may need to adjust your deck level and height. The wheels are the same size as my OEM wheels, but the deep treaded tires are slightly taller and wider on the outside. (See a side-by-side comparison of the OEM and new tires. ) Instructions for adjusting your mower deck can be found on YouTube or from your local mower dealer. br>br>I recommend purchasing tires with wheels already installed. However, some Amazon sellers charge such exorbitant prices for these that I would not buy them ready-made. mounted. I'll just say that it's not a job for anyone who doesn't have access to professional tire changing tools, unless they're a particularly resourceful DIYer.
For the winter, I bought a troy bilt pony with a plow. However, I've been having trouble with the factory tire; I've tried snow chains, but they scratch my driveway badly. This tire is exactly what I was looking for. Please note that the rim used by John Deer is different, so I went with the tire-only option. Customer service is also extremely helpful and responsive!.
For my John Deere S240, I purchased these. For my hilly property, I needed a tire with more grip. When one of my original tires developed a puncture, I decided it would be better to purchase a new set rather than replace it. I was hesitant to buy them because of the price, but once I got them, all of my concerns vanished! The ease of installation and the stability I received from them make me wonder why John Deere didn't make this a factory option or standard with their tractors. Amazing! I would recommend them to anyone who has slipping issues on their property or wants to upgrade their tires because they are well worth the money. Please keep in mind that they are slightly larger than the factory ones. To compensate for the slight lift, you may need to adjust the mower deck cutting height, but this is a simple process. And the fact that I was able to tow a cart full of rocks and debris without slipping or tearing up my lawn was enough to convince me to look into these tires.
I told Amazon that I wouldn't be writing any more reviews, but I'm going to break that rule for these. I like these because of the tread design, which they should patent. I'm not an engineer, but this pattern is amazing, and they need to make those big enough for the Kubota 23x10. 50- When cutting a tight corner, the traditional tread pattern on the outside of the lugs protects the tuff from the lugs that provide the best traction. As a result, each person assists the other. I called and spoke with a smart cookie, who suggested that they be made larger so that if you need assistance, you can get it from real Americans. This is a win-win situation.
They perform admirably when mowing along lakes, up and down hills, or on soft turf. If you don't have a four-wheel-drive mower, this is especially important. These were purchased to go on a John Deere L100 with a snow plow. The traction is noticeably superior to traditional lawn/garden tread on the first try. We'll see how it goes since I haven't had to put chains on yet. The only drawback for some may be that there are no holes in the rim for wheel weights when purchasing a tire/rim package. Also, because the tires are slightly larger, there is only about 1/2 inch clearance between the tire and the mower deck on the chute side when the mower deck is raised. Overall, this is an incredible tire that is far superior to the traditional lawn tire.
