While I like the fact that it is longer than regular wheel hangers (tommy bars), the knurling on the end is a little too aggressive and over a greater area than necessary. In order to prevent scraping off paint in the bolt hole, you need to be very careful when sliding the wheel over it. To compare, the stock wheel hanger has a smooth surface. It should not be a problem to thread them into a clean hub without knurling unless you have greasy hands.
The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the finish is extremely rough, the metal is not coated in clear coat, and/or it is not anodized like the picture appears to be. I understand it would still get scratched even if it had a better finish, but after just trying it once, the paint already has lost its shine. I think it will take five minutes to restore the shine after finishing it. If the metal is used ten times, the surface is likely to be extremely rough, the point where the lug nuts holes in the wheels could be scratched. It might be a good idea to wrap it with duct tape or something else.
Apart from that, it is great and I used it for my Lamborghini Gallardo with Apollo wheels with 19" wheels and it was perfect. The 14x1 I purchased is in good condition. Five of the 5 have a sufficient length to allow the wheel to be aligned properly and avoid damaging the caliper or rotor.
I have ordered two but have not yet used them. They seem to be just what I was looking for. My winter tires will arrive in a few weeks, so I'll do that then. In the summer, if you rotate or change your tires, I would recommend these to anyone who has wheel bolts and not studs and nuts. Having used these for several months, I find them perfectly fine. An occasional scratch or scuff here and there, but the black on the wheels is still intact, and they still function properly. The key to getting the wheel on is to have two of them, as opposed to one, which still requires some balancing and alignment. My first pair of window tinting was given to a friend who owned the same model car, and I have now ordered a second set. The idea is great.
From what I've noticed, some cars don't even have the bolts! I have a couple and doing self-service like changing brake pads and rotating tires is a pain. It is not fun to lift the wheel and tire, align the bolt holes, and insert the lug nuts. It is the best tool I have ever used. I think it is an excellent fit for the job, and given the pain it relieves, it is incredibly cheap. If your car is lacking connected bolts to the brakes, you should purchase one. After you read this, you will thank me.
This is a great product! I bought two wheel alignment tools to help me align wheels with hub flats and bolt pattern. Having heavy wheels/tires (80# rear / 68# front) on an X5, I used them to align the wheels with hub lips. A good job of machining and finishing. It has a black zinc finish that feels pleasant to touch and helps make it easy to hold The finish appears to be the same finish as the one.
Having a charger like this is essential to Despite the anodized black finish, this item fit with no problems into the threads of the lug nuts. With this product you can easily align the wheel for threading the lug nuts. It is a high quality steel product that is well made. This would be a great addition to any.
On the cars I own, a couple of the wheels are bolted on instead of held on by lug nuts. In the past, it can be very difficult to reinstall a wheel and align the holes of the wheel with The guide pin makes it easier to put the wheel back on. Even with one, I found that it was a big help, but two was even more useful. We have found this guide tool to be useful. A good set of threads and an easy screw-in of my car's hub made this assymetrical wheel easy to install.
Despite being heavy duty and a nice piece of kit, the alignment pins have an internal diameter that is significantly greater than their threaded outer diameter. I cannot fix my E320 with the pin because it does not fit through the wheel hole, making this item totally useless for its intended use. The resulting product is really well made, too bad because it is well built.
