Questions & Answers

Is it a set of one or two?

They are sold in pairs; I ordered four and now have an extra four.

What is the total number of chains in each set? 2 or 4?

Two wheels are included in each set. I purchased two sets so that I could chain all four wheels in 4WD. The cam chains are nice because I can get the chains very snug and tightly fitted. I have LT265/75R16 tires, and they fit perfectly. I also purchased two sets of blue six-point bungee cords. However, since the cams eliminate all slack and slop in the chains, they are probably unnecessary.

Are they compatible with 18-inch wheels?

They're for 20" rims, and I've got them. Place your order based on the size of your tires.

Is it possible to use them with 20-inch tires?

Yes, as long as the chains are the right size for your tires. My rims are 20 inches in diameter. To get rid of the slack, you'll want to use tensioners.

Installation is simple, but the product has a short life expectancy
3/5

On our snow plow, they lasted a season. They were a lot easier to put together than the large black rubber bands they were replacing. These were still holding when I removed the chains, but they're starting to crack badly. I'm not mad at the price, but I'm not going to buy them again. For next year, I'm going to get some metal pull springs that are about the right length and hook them onto the ring from this kit.

The picture was deceiving, so I bought these
5/5

This is what I went with for my truck's BLACK chain look. br>The chains are not advertised as a product for sale anywhere on the pictures or anywhere else. br>However, I see a place where these could be useful.

Bogging in the mud
5/5

This spring has been especially difficult on the ranch. Heavy snows, muddy melt-offs, and spring storms all aid in keeping my husband's truck tires from bogging down in the muck and returning home safely. br>br>Because I do the laundry and vacuum, these make me happy as well. It's impossible to get stuck with good, tight chains. If you don't get stuck, you won't have to deal with a grumpy man dressed in filthy clothes!.

This is a waste of money
3/5

After getting stuck on a drifted-in road, I put these on yesterday. These tensioners were chained up and installed - I got out after about 200 yards to check the chain tension and discovered that both tensioners had broken and were laying in the snow somewhere behind me. On my way back, I came across a couple of pieces of snow. To put it mildly, they self-destructed. Don't waste your money on this nonsense.

The quality is extremely poor
3/5

During installation, something went wrong. The quality is extremely poor. During installation, something went wrong. To avoid damage to your vehicle, make sure your chains are tight. A hardware store will sell you $1 black rubber S hook tarp bungee cords. Save money and frustration by purchasing at a cost of $25 each.

When using chains at speeds of 25 to 35 mph, it makes a significant difference
5/5

It was simple for me to install - Not so much for the "Better-Better-Better-Better-Better-Better-B half". With these, chains are much quieter and vibration is reduced.

Change your mind
3/5

It didn't last long; the rubber cracked and then broke after only a few months. The design and ease of installation are both given two stars. I'm going to use the black rubber band with five hooks once more.

If you work with chains, this is a must-have
5/5

If you have tire chains or have recently purchased some, you will also require these. They're simple to put on and take off, and they'll give you more confidence behind the wheel over longer distances.
