I installed by hand at first and after 1 month, I used an impact to straighten the finish. Initially I used a hand drill and the finish got messed up. The pictures are of the results one month later. After looking at them so badly, I ended up ordering a new set. In the meantime, I haven't seen any rust so far since I put a plastic bag over it. As a safety precaution, I used a plastic bag between the lug nuts and the socket during installation or removal. DO NOT use an impact gun. Make sure to use a different area of the bag for each lug nut to minimize potential damage. The bags tend to rip when stressed. My test was with thin plastic bags, thick plastic bags, double-up plastic bags and ziplock plastic bags. All these plastic bags seemed to work properly in protecting the finish (which is certainly delicate and thin). Make sure you pay attention to the finish if you're serious about it.
My lug nuts were never taken into account before installing this product . . . but it made a noticeable difference to the black rims I have. They are also stronger and longer than original lug nuts, so you get more "bite" This book is highly recommended!.
These are solid replacement lug nuts for the Jeep Wrangler and make a good upgrade. A reasonable amount of ease can be found in putting them on and taking them off. It is important to note that they are not the same as the lug nuts of a spare tire.
I highly recommend this product. There seems to be a high level of quality in these. The look and feel is good. Without any problems, it was installed.
We think these lug nuts are much better than those that come with your vehicle.
After a week of installing them with care I see some wear on them. I'm wondering how long the power coat could last.
This is made of steel, and does not have the flimsy tin caps the factory ones have.
This one is a huge upgrade from old luggys and is packed clean.
