It appears they've changed the photo now, but instead of the cheaper slotted, thick arm battery terminal removal tool they shipped, it was supposed to have a tapered center portion with slim arms to pull wiper arms. It just wouldn't let go of my wiper arms. I gave them back to you.
The first time I tried to use it, it broke. I broke the second wiper after removing the first. Threads in the center part of the machine were stripped, so I attempted to re-thread it. Parts were screwed together, but under pressure, they kept coming apart. This program is a waste of time. One set of wipers was impossible to remove.
This item was purchased to replace the rear wiper on my 2011 Lincoln Navigator. Except for the main part, the tiny lever that turns the thread, it appears to be very sturdy and well-designed. It began to bend, and because it is so short, you are unable to apply the torque required to remove the ten-year-old wiper. To get it to turn faster and provide more leverage, I had to add an extension. It worked perfectly after that. For a once-in-a-lifetime tool, the prices are unbeatable! I would have given it a lower rating if it had been more expensive. I have no complaints about the seller, and the item was delivered quickly. I hope this information is useful.
The wiper arm puller was a lot bigger than I expected, and I was worried it wouldn't work. I thought it would be too big to fit in the space I had. My wipers 'popped' off to my surprise after I turned it, spun it, and held my mouth just right! It had been removed from a 1987 Mazda B2000 Pickup truck for 34 years! It wasn't stuck to me; it was welded together. But with this fantastic tool, they both popped right off! On the plus side, I can use it to remove battery terminals as well! Win, win.
Some arms have been seized to the point where they can't be removed without causing damage. That is not the fault of the tools; in most cases, they are a good deal.
I tried to remove a miniature bearing from a motor shaft with this tool, but it didn't work as well as I had hoped. br>Flimsybr>Difficult to usebr>The head is very soft and warpedbr>I do not recommend this product.
On an older BMW X5, I was just removing a rear windshield wiper. It was a cinch to use. I simply clipped it on and turned it a couple of times, and the old wiper assembly arm popped right off.
Although it appeared to work as advertised, it was unable to remove the wiper arm from my 2005 Buick LeSabre. When the twisting arm began to deform, I decided to stop torquing down.
