This is the best flux core wire money can buy; I've tried a few others and they all have more spatter and don't run as smoothly as the Lincoln wire. this NR- My small MIG now looks like a brand new machine thanks to the 211 MP, and the beads look fantastic. It is well worth the money.
Running slowed me down as well. Wire with a diameter of 035 millimeters and a. Wire was dancing around a little because of the 045 tip (new tips are on the way). From what I can tell so far, this is a good running wire that will be even better once I've optimized everything else.
I've been using Blue Demon's flux core wire, which is considerably less expensive but splatters profusely. I decided to give the Lincoln flux core a try, and wow, what a difference it made. It's very smooth and there's a lot less splatter. I understand that you get what you pay for. In the end, everything about it appeals to me except the cost.
I haven't done much welding with it yet, but it seems to be working fine. The lack of clear product information was my only disappointment. After being battered in transit, much of the information on the outer box was small and illegible. I should have written down (or photographed) the label on the spool, but I wasn't impressed with its legibility or content. And the spool was only labeled on one side - Because the label is on the backside of the spool in my welder, there are no markings for identification on the outside of the spool. Fortunately, both product information and a welding guide are available in PDF form on Lincoln's website. However, some of the key information should have been printed on a more durable pamphlet.
It's the same wire you'd get at a hardware store or welding supply store. To replace it, pull an inch from the tip of the gun and run the new wire through the hose, this way the new wire pushes the leftover wire in the hose and you get more weld done instead of discarding the 6 or so feet left over wire. For hd lincoln welders, this innershield wire is the one to go with, the cheaper ones on the market will give you the worst weld. For hd licoln welder machines, this is unquestionably the best wire available. It is very convenient because you do not have to go to the store to purchase it.
I tried other brands before deciding that Lincoln Fluxcore is the best option for me. Although it was more expensive, I was satisfied with the outcome.
I decided to experiment with flux core on some non-ferrous metals. After receiving a free Miller wire machine (I had always used stick before), I had to do some critical outdoor welding. It's fantastic when used correctly. Because it lacks the same amount of flux as a stick, it will still cause porosity on extremely rusted metal. br> This wire is so much better than Harbor Freight flux core wire. Less spatter, less slag, and no porosity in a smoother, less erratic puddle. It's similar to a chalked-over gas mig weld. The price difference was insufficient to convince me to try Blue Demon instead.
br>br>I'm so impressed with this wire that I just ordered a second roll for this pipe fence project.
