It is just now that I am learning how to TIG weld, so I have no expert opinion Miller packaged ceriated electrodes with their Miller Dynasty 210 turnkey system, which are certainly as good as these. Because Midwest Tungsten Service's ceriated tungsten electrodes are equivalent to those provided by Miller, and they are also significantly less expensive than those provided by Miller, I will buy all my tungsten TIG electrodes from Midwest Tungsten Service from now on.
Although I prepared to burn my first electrode, bury it in the puddle of weld, and otherwise misuse it, none of these events occurred. In making the first electrode, I cut it into three pieces, pointed each piece carefully with a dremel cutoff wheel and cordless drill, mounted it in the torch with the #5 cup and 5/16" stickout, then mounted the first electrode. An arc of beauty began and was maintained. Upon handling the first electrode, I did not notice any wear after about 6 feet of welding. I am in awe of.
Although I have a few hours of welding classes under my belt and have spent some time at a makerspace, I am definitely not a professional welder. The purpose of getting them was to give me maximum flexibility if I wanted to work with steel or aluminum. The Vulcan and makerspace Lincoln have both run just fine for me so far when it comes to steel, but both have been used at home with my Vulcan as well. I got it for a good price in comparison with what my local shop was offering.
They are thin and I was able to pool and tig Redbull cans together. I practiced on aluminum roof flashing too, which is only available in The thickness of the film is 007 millimeters. I would never have been able to do it without these tools. It's different from what you're used to!.
I have bought this item twice in the past. The cost was very reasonable compared to what the welding shop in my area charged. Ten boxes of ten of these were sold for $50. Considering it has free shipping and no sales tax, at just $20, it is one of the best deals available. With this brand I can't tell what kind of weld quality I'll be able to achieve in comparison to other brands. The electrode I use for welding steel and aluminum is accurate and produces.
Since I am not certified in the Tig process, I am unable to give you a thumbs up or down. Because of the great prices and the fact that I want to practice, I bought it from Midwest Tungsten.
Midwest Tungsten service provides great assistance and customer service. In addition, I plan to acquire more skills as time goes on.
My job exclusively uses red and green tungsten, and we ore often weld aluminum, however occasionally we have to work with steel, and stainless steel as well. It has improved the quality of my tig welds significantly. I'm using a Miller synchrowave 350, and this grey tungsten has enhanced it greatly. Initially, they start out quicker, and cleaning around the weld is much more effective than before. As well, the weld "dimes" now appear to be more crystal clear. Hence, this could be due to the fact that a sharpened tungsten tip stays sharp, or even a small ball bearing tip stays sharp. There is no doubt in my mind that I would As a matter of fact, I have given everyone in the shop a half electrode, and they have all given rave reviews over.
My experience with them has been exceptional. They have exemplary customer support, they have a quality product, and I don't necessarily use just their lanthanated tungsten, but also their pure and ceriated. I have never been let down by any of them. Available in a variety of sizes from 1/16" to 1" It measures 1/8" and I am very pleased with it.
