304L, 308L as well as stabilized grades 321 and 347 are suitable for welding stainless steels with a 19% chromium - 9% nickel composition. A carbon content of less than 0 is the maximum. Weld deposits and weld zones that conform to x-ray quality will remain corrosion resistant at 0.3 percent and will maintain their properties for decades

Application areas include stainless steel fabrication of dairy, food or restaurant equipment, chemical storage tanks and general purpose applications, where corrosion is only a mild concern. It can also be used for cryogenic applications.

The 1/8 rods seem stiff and bendable, but how stiff/bendable are they? Thank you. I am looking for something with the strength to bend, and at least as stiff as a 9 gauge galvanized wire. Would that work?

I can purchase steel/brass/aluminum from K&N single pieces for a reasonable rate The picture shows The painting will be done after sanding and painting). After the cost of materials approached buying a rapier, I was worried I would have to disappoint her, but when I discovered these great precision rods I discovered that they would be ideal for not just this sword, but plenty of other projects as well. gave up on industry solutions because I don't think there is anything more viable than 1lb of high quality stainless steel. (How many rods are there? There are so many pieces of material that I should have counted now, too late to do it now), about 5x the material I need for the build for about 1/10th the overall cost of the materials. It would have never occurred to me to use S rods. There's nothing good about these kick ass It's just that I don't know about welding applications.

These are the same thing, and they cost much less. Since I didn't need the whole pound, I didn't buy the whole thing. They are both among If they are manufactured with grease, make sure to wash them to remove it. The purchase I made was an excellent one.

Ah, I see. Although the picture shows them in a tube, the products do not come in that format. Box is triangular and filled with loose items.

Why wouldn't you use these stainless rods to ratchet a computer? My DIY bird feeder is now bird-proof. In short, they do what they're supposed to do. This makes them unattractive to rats and they won't rust like other steels do.
