Questions & Answers

Is it possible that someone has heard an alarm during a a real pressure drop or blowout? What's the most recent experience you have had with it?

I have not had a blowout but I have also received alerts when the tire pressure was below the specified threshold during cold mornings. This summer, we logged 13,000 miles and the system seemed to work fine. As a result of this information, I also confirm that I will receive an alert if a pressure drop occurs or if a blowout occurs. As long as I'm able to monitor my trailer tire pressure and am alerted to any changes, I can sleep easy at night knowing my trailer pressure is in excellent shape.

Is it possible to use this for a 27 foot box 30 by 20 inch tongue to tail Are you wondering how this will affect so many?

It is installed on our 31' camper & this is the first time I have used it We installed our range extender (repeater) under the cover for the plastic propane tank to keep it out of the weather even tho they claimed it was waterproof. It works well.

The alarm sounds. Do you know what it is?

You should keep in mind that a sensor battery dying or a signal interruption between the sensor, the relay and the unit display can cause the alarm to trip. In other words, a tire pressure/temperature change alarm trip may not always be related to a sensor issue. It has been my experience that sensor failure is most commonly caused by a faulty battery. The sensors tend to last roughly a year on their batteries It is important that the filters are changed every year.

Set your display to auto-scan Amounts in dims In the daytime, this is extremely difficult to read It is important to be aware of the risks involved with buying
3/5

Reviews of any kind, good or bad, are not normally written by me. My rear end has been chapped enough because of this one. It tracks pressures very well, and it seems to be working well with temperatures too (very sensitive too, I might add), but the display dims even when the device is plugged into a USB port. How good is a monitor you can't see during daylight hours? Here in Florida, it's impossible to do that. Florida is known as sunny Florida. Thus, why take the time to create a product which will auto-update There are dimmable lights that brighten during the daytime. They are designed and made I wouldn't buy this if you drive or tow during normal daylight hours. I read the one-page manual, but there is no option to turn off the automatic headlights. Feature to dim the light. I'm sorry about that. The other way around it would have been an excellent buy. As a result of the call, I had to leave a message during normal business hours, and I still have not received a call back As a result of not having received a response from the manufacturer, I am returning this product and removing one star.

It is an excellent tool for monitoring tire pressure
5/5

This tire pressure monitor system would be a good choice for RV owners who own dual-axle trailers. Each tire sensor can be easily attached to the tire, and the monitor display allows for easy viewing. In addition to tire pressure and tire temperature, the screen shows tire inflation pressure for each tire. To avoid sudden blow outs on your rig, it's important to know this information. There is a wireless component to the system. There has never been an issue with information not getting to the monitor from the tires. There is 26 feet of space on my rig. Powered by a small battery, each of the sensors is small and portable. Battery for each sensor is included with the kit, as well as a spare battery. Easy installation of the batteries makes them a great choice. An onboard battery in the monitor is powered by solar energy and charged by the If you want to directly power the monitor with the included USB cable, it comes with it as well. It is required to attach the sensor booster to the underside of your rig at the front. Power for the booster must come from the battery of your computer. You can attach or detach the antenna using the alligator clips on the end. Instead of using alligator clips, I wired the monitor directly to the battery without them and included both female and male disconnects as well as an inline fuse to protect the wires. The fact that this may be a must-have on your rig indicates that it is truly the best option.

Monitor thresholds are not in place
3/5

This ad fails to mention that there are no low threshold or high threshold alarm settings. It is only after opening the package that it is revealed to be a sudden loss monitor.

I found this unit to be "great", American-made, with exceptional customer service
5/5

It took me a short time to become friends with the unit and master its programming. After waiting a month to install it on my trailer, I was disappointed that it did not work as advertised. Then I was glad I didn't do what I wanted to do. After you purchase it, install it as soon as possible since there is just a 30-day return limit. The root cause of my frustration was the fact that I did not program the unit properly from the start. Minder's representatives were determined to make me happy with the program, even though the directions were a little confusing to me. I was put through the programming by them in a number of conversations. The customer service department at this company is quite dedicated and located in Stuart, Florida. They will call you back if you leave a message on the answering machine. By MINDER, this unit is WELL MADE IN THE USA.

I like the way it works! This is a really good deal
5/5

The fifth wheel fits perfectly into my 28' vehicle, so a 5,000 mile trip across the country was no problem. We are going to have a hot The lock was rated for a trailer 25 feet or less, but despite its size, it worked flawlessly and gave me a sense of security My favorite part of the receiver was its ability to operate on solar power and I've never had any problems Batteries for the valve cap transmitter are in good condition after two months after purchase and a spare set of them is included in the package.

It is easy to install and to operate
5/5

In preparation for driving about 3500 miles to Alaska, I installed the TireMinder Solar Powered Trailer TPMS Kits on four trailer tires. In our seven-day trip, we encountered a variety of weather and road conditions. This kit performed well in each of those conditions. a few times when driving from paved to loose gravel, the monitor would show "nS" (no signal) from one tire. We cannot rule out this possibility for the circumstances described in the manufacturer's literature, but the tire eventually began to show a signal. By monitoring trailer tire pressures and temperatures, we were able to create an additional level of safety along the trip, and reduced the risk of trailer tires or wheels being damaged.

The program appears to function as expected
4/5

My 20' enclosed trailer is towed by a large SUV that has been fitted with this awning. I've tried the TireMinder solar-powered trailer TPMS kit with four tires, and it seems to work as described. On the display, I could see the temperatures and pressures change according to whether the trailer was on the road or if it At first, the pressures displayed on my tire gauge matched what was displayed on the display. A very simple installation procedure was followed. The signal booster was attached to the box on the nose of the trailer by Velcro and the booster was attached to the outside of the box with a cable tie. As a result, I didn't mount the display, instead I kept it on the center console for periodic checks. An hour and a half after a weekend trip to the mall, it indicates that it is fully charged after 6 hours (3 hours in each direction). It is a great device for trailers, and I've recommended it to my friends. Before, I experienced a blowout on the trailer and would like to avoid the same happening again. We are hoping it is just the no-name batteries that were The reason I choose this kit over less expensive no-name brands is that I expect it to be a higher-quality product that will last longer and work well. We will have to see how things turn out. As for my purchase so far, I am thoroughly satisfied and would not hesitate to buy it again in the future.
