Questions & Answers

Anyone come up with a way to push this thing into the hole without having to sit on the hand tool?

I lubricate the plugs with tire patch glue, ream the hole slightly, and they go in fine.br>I've been doing it that way in my shop for 25 years and have never had a plug come out or leak.br>I also twist the plug in a full circle while the tool is still pushed down in the tire.

I have a Slime tool kit, and I'm assuming these plugs will work with the Slime insertion tool. Is it not overly dense?

I'm not equipped with a slime-making tool. These should work, but they're a pain to get into the tool in the first place. They're a little thicker than your average black seal. The safety seals are superior and last for a longer period of time. I've used safety seals for over 20 years and highly recommend them.

I have a question for the vendor. All of the lot/batch numbers have been removed from these that I recently received. Is this a batch of rejects from the factory? Is it a forgery? Stolen?

One side of the backing paper should have the lot numbers written in blue ink. It isn't found anywhere else on the package.

Is it true that these plugs are manufactured in the United States of America?

Yes, this item is manufactured in the United States of America. Years ago, I used these. br>It's a fantastic piece of work.

You'd better be tough and know what you're doing, or you'll get hurt, so don't be a soyboy
5/5

Because I purchased these before the days of Amazon, it appears that there are many repair seal kits out there after so many years. I was just curious if they had it because they appear to have everything else. I was surprised that there were other options after at least ten years of use, but because of the number of tires I've repaired with this brand, I don't want to use anything else because I'd never have a failure. This is the brand I remember seeing on big 18-wheeler trucks when I was a kid because they make a longer one for a thicker tire, and because I work for a company that requires service trucks to go out all the time, things like this happen almost every week. I'll admit that one time I bought the green-packaged items that you see in auto stores elsewhere on Amazon. Avoid using green repair kits because they are of poor quality and will eventually fail. Now keep in mind that in order to repair a tire, you must be in good physical condition and at the very least know how to do it by learning from someone who does it or watching a YouTube video. However, if you're a soy boy, you won't be able to do it, so good luck, but this is the best seal money can buy.

Tire plugs are our specialty!! They're effective! Nothing else should be purchased
5/5

These are the only plugs you'll ever need, and they're actually quite effective. My scooter had one hole in it, so I kept buying Walmart's cheap brand of 30 plugs for around $5. They have never been successful. They'd last for weeks at a time, but they'd eventually fall off. My tire was brand new, and after getting a nail in the first month, I spent the next five months putting these plugs from Walmart in it because I didn't know what else to do. These plugs' safety seal was recommended by a towing truck driver, so I installed them and they've stayed in for weeks. They were still there when I rode my scooter down the highway. Because the hole in my tire was quite large, I had to use two of these safety seals. I was concerned that it would fail. Because I had lost faith, I had already purchased a new tire. There's no need to look any further because these plugs are it. They're designed for this purpose, and this company is the industry leader in plugs; if I'd known years ago, I could have saved money on all of the flat tires I've had. If you have all of the other tools, the repair will cost about $50 cents per plug. It's a good deal to get 60 plugs for only $17.

The most capable of those who have attempted it
5/5

If you need to plug a tire in an emergency or if your tire shop has a reputation for refusing to repair a simple puncture on the basis of the tiniest technicality, make sure you use the best plug available. Especially when there isn't a way to patch from the inside. Unlike the most common nationwide brand found in auto stores, these are made of a thicker material that is less likely to leak and more likely to self-vulcanize as a good, long-lasting repair. The complement to this item (they also sell a complete kit) is their own brand tire repair glue, which I recommend as a supplement to these plugs.

reliable
5/5

This is a very trustworthy product. We've been using them for years and have saved tens of thousands of dollars in wasted time waiting for tire repairs. We use these on everything from 10 ply work van tires to riding mowers and trailers to repair minor punctures. These are safe and reliable when used in moderation and never for sidewall punctures. Don't waste your time with other brands; these are the only ones that come close to a genuine off-brand product. At the tire shop, I had my rims patched. I've never had a single one that didn't work out. It will last the life of the tire if it holds during installation.

Hundreds of dollars in potential savings I had previously replaced one of my truck's tires with a different brand, but it leaked again after a few months, so I removed the old plug and tried again
5/5

Every few weeks, the tire would become soft. I purchased the Original Safety Seal repair plugs, and they completely repaired my tire; it has been on my tire for about two months, and it appears that the repair will last until the tire wears out. I now have several of these in each of my vehicles. I hope my suggestions were useful; please contact me if you have any questions or comments.

These are the only tire plugs you should buy if you require them
5/5

I've tried other brands, and none of them compare to these in terms of quality or consistency of effectiveness. I'm serious. Other brands should be avoided at all costs. These are your standard repair plugs. br>br> approximately 3 inches of filthy brown rubber-like material You peel it off, remember it's not a stick of jerky, stick it on the tool, and shove it into the hole you've reamed out in the tire (with some vulcanizing cement - see below). not lube! slathered on), and take pleasure in driving on your newly-renovated vehicle. not- leaking tire. br>br>In my 4x4, I have a box of these under the seat, and you should have one as well.

The best seal is the safety seal! Over 40 years of experience as a mechanic
5/5

When our fleet tires became all radial, the company where I worked in 1979 began using these plugs. I've tried other brands, but they don't compare in terms of quality or form. I'll never use anything else than Safety Seal because they work well and have a short shelf life.
