The packaging makes it appear as if the product is manufactured in the United States, but it is not. MADE IN CHINA, BR>BR>BR>BR>BR>BR>BR>BR>BR>BR>BR>.
This item claims to be designed and engineered in the United States, but the fine print reveals that it was manufactured in China. The reamer, which is smooth and chrome plated, can't do its one job due to poor design and chrome plating, which is my biggest gripe with it. A ream is used to roughen and widen the rubber's surface, making it easier for the patch to slide in and the glue to adhere to. This only serves to make you look slick and cool. Half of the parts are not properly contained in the storage container, and they fall out as soon as you open it. And the majority of the rest is gimmicky and of poor quality. For the price, I didn't expect much from this kit, but it's currently worthless. Instead of wasting time, money, and aggravation by attempting to use this, get a patch kit from a reputable brand like Blackjack or others.
So far, it's the best kit I've ever bought. br>I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. I wish I had come across this product sooner!.
I just got the kit in the mail. The idea of having this entire kit in one case appeals to me. The tools are easy to locate and store. The only issue I have is that the case was either not molded correctly or that a different tool was used to make the case. The pliers do not stay in the holder, and the tire gauge and valve tool are extremely loose, falling out of the case on occasion. Aside from that, I think having everything you need to plug a tire in one kit is a fantastic idea. I hope I never have to use it, but if I do, everything I need is right there.
I bought this kit about a month ago and kept it in the glove box in case I needed it. I didn't think to check to see if everything was in there because it was sealed, so I assumed it came with everything pictured and listed on the front and back. br>br>Well, I had to use it for the first time yesterday. I blew a tire in the middle of the highway and was fortunate enough to be able to pull over to the side to avoid being hit in the rain. br>br>Pulled over because it was raining heavily and there was a lot of traffic. I took out the kit to plug the hole and, lo and behold, it worked! The kit, it turned out, lacked plugs. It was a brand new kit with the plastic still attached. There are no plugs in this package. Only a box cutter, glue, and the ripper are required. So, thank you. br>br> Rather than continuing with my day, I had to switch to my donut and return home. If you're looking for a good deal, look for something else; the last thing I wanted to do yesterday was change a tire on the side of the road in the rain.
The reviews speak for themselves, as do many others on this site. br>The kit itself is small and compact, fitting under a seat, behind a seat, in a glove box, or anywhere else you can think of. br>Some might refer to me as. Taking the weekend off roader. I drive around in my truck (a 2015 4D Tacoma). It serves as both a daily driver and a weekend toy. Having this kit in my car, in addition to the rest of my gear, gives me a lot of peace of mind, both on and off the road. br>As someone who ventures off the beaten path and finds themselves in some remote, difficult-to-reach locations, the quality of the gear I carry is critical. It's bad enough not having what you need to get your vehicle back up and running and get you home safely, but having something that's cheap and could break while you're using it or when you really need it is even worse. I debated whether or not to buy the well-known ARB version of this kit, but at twice the price, I decided against it. br>The quality of this kit is adequate for the task at hand. Yes, the handle is made of plastic or ABS, but this does not imply that it is "cheap" as some might believe. It'll take care of everything you require. br>br>Overallbr>Pro: br>br>
- a reasonable pricebr>- br>- The quality is excellent. br>- It is small and compact, so it can be used almost anywhere. br>- comes with plenty of plugs to complete the taskbr>- a sense of calm, the ability to help yourself or others on the side of the road if you so desire. br>- The level of service provided is exceptional. I've never had a company call me so many times to make sure I was satisfied with my order as this one has. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- Some argue that a metal handle is required. This is not the case.
- designed in the United States, but manufactured elsewhere (this doesn't bother me, but it may bother others).
This is a fantastic package. The reamer and plug applicator are both sturdy and effective, whereas the other pieces of the kit were bent and rendered useless. We had a tire that had been plugged but was still leaking slowly, and these were of excellent quality and effectiveness. I took out the old plugs, reamed them with this kit, and reinstalled the plugs, and there was no more leak! For a more professional appearance, I also used the steel stem caps that were provided. This is an excellent kit.
The equipment is of good quality. It includes everything you'll need to get back on your feet after a flat tire. It comes with extra valves and caps, which I appreciate. Those always seem to get away from me. Although I haven't patched anything yet, I have handled all of the tools and they appear to be of good quality.
