The flywheel has ALWAYS been rotated by prying it or using a large screw driver, usually with the bellhousing as leverage. I spent quite a bit of time trying to recover the torque converter bolts so I decided to get this before I reinstalled the converter The transmission is being installed. That was absolutely the right decision for me! It's really bad of me to be so stubborn! I think this money was well spent. If there were any guides along the sides of this tool to help keep this from sliding off the flexplate teeth, that would be the only thing that could make it better.

My experience with pulling seals out of oil seals in the past has only been in an industrial setting, so I have never thought about purchasing a seal puller. To pull out a seal on a gearbox, I usually put it out on a bench and use any tool available from a set of screwdrivers to a prybar. I recently wanted to work on a couple of my vehicles at home and realized that in an automotive setting the amount of space is very limited (working on an engine that's still mounted to the car). I decided to buy this puller ahead of time and am so glad Despite having the seal puller, I think I could have done without it, but it did make the work a lot easier and saved some time.
