Questions & Answers

Can it be turned on and off using the jumper switch?

Sucking and slipping of the clamps results in their loss of In my case, it fell out of the holder, shorted, and caught fire in my trunk. I lost my jump pack as well as the contents of my trunk, the carpet, and it was so close to destroying my car! I can't imagine not having a master shutoff switch on this.

How well does this product jumpstart heavy equipment such as a semi truck?

I say yes! When my cousin arrived, he left something behind in his rig while he was on a route. My Dodge began to start up more or less as soon as this was removed from it.

Is it a good idea to keep this plugged in all the time? Trying to find out if there are any areas where my electric bill could go up?

The 1500 amp has been in my possession for about 12 years and still works perfectly. The situation seems almost impossible. Powerful enough to start a large V8 engine and still has plenty of power remaining. It will hold a full charge for months if it is brought to a full charge and then unplugged. I have left it plugged in for months at a time without harm, although I agree that bringing it up to a full charge and unplugging it seems best. The additional one I ordered is the same as my original, so I hope that it will also be the same quality. The product I created for my first business is incredible.

I charged mine all night and all red and green lights came on even with the Only the status light comes on 12 hours later. What do I do if my internal battery dies?

I don't know how old it is. Do you still have a warranty on it? Do you keep it in a safe place? One of these models was missing a battery, so I replaced it. There are two of them in my possession. Those batteries can be found at Batteries Plus.

It's the second failure in one Because someone noticed that the batteries can be swapped, I bought it from someone who recommended it
3/5

A few months after I purchased it, it began to break down. The only time I used it was twice and I kept it indoors. I usually take care of my property well. The charge was not from the battery but from the electronics. I had it tested and indeed, it wasn't the battery. I had to pay for shipping it back, so I had to return it. I guess I should say that the return shipment via UPS to the manufacturer cost around $30. I was finally able to get a new one after waiting two months and making calls and sending emails. As of April, I now own a new one (six months after I bought my original one). All I can say is that I am very As soon as it was charged, I put it in the corner of the basement. In addition to the finished basement, I also have a dehumidifier and central air, so it's tidy and clean down there.

In August I am going to test it to see if it is working as I am getting out my ATVs and thought I would charge it since I had not used it until then. No charge, that's for sure. As I did not have time, I waited until Labor Day, when there is usually a lull in work, before contacting the manufacturer. Mailing it back has to be done The charging cord I bought and mailed back has now been replaced with one extra charger. The failure rate with this device is pretty high, it costs me about $200. I have now decided not to send it back since it has just reached the end of its warranty and I am beginning to feel that it would be cheaper to buy a cheap one since if it works for a year, it will have done a lot more than this one. Would I be able to rely on this for starting a battery in the middle of nowhere if I were in the middle of nowhere? This is not something I would recommend.

Error in the design of the product I would advise you not to purchase! It's actually my job to manage a car dealership and I occasionally use jump boxes
3/5

Due to my antics with several cars and the fact that they do not get driven on a regular basis, I needed one for my house. It was natural for me to start looking at Amazon since I ordered off of the company at least twice a week. I ordered this jump box because the price was fair and the reviews were good so I ordered it. I have used this jump box a couple times and it already came apart. The clamp you put on the battery post is held together by a 1/4 inch plastic post. You can see what I mean. Metal rivets are better suited for this purpose. You just have to pop it back into position again for it to come I cannot return it since it is made of an internal material that can't be returned.

I asked AAA insurance how they liked this device when I saw it used to jump my car
5/5

During the day, they use them all the time. The small and compact device packs a powerful I asked AAA insurance how they liked this device when I saw it used to jump my car. The guy told me that they were awesome and he uses them all day long. With no charge in my truck, I put jumpers on it for over 10 minutes and still did not have enough power to start the vehicle (it might have taken over 40 minutes). Thanks to this little box, the vehicle turned over like it had a new battery. The thing works like new for its size. It's almost 2019 and the thing still works like it did last year. This is the first time I've charged it in 9 months, and it's still full, I used it to jump a neighbor's car. My suspicion is that this ES5000 jump box might be the toughest of all. My original plan was to get a JNC660, but after thinking about it I think the ES5000 would be more durable and worry-free.

When I tried to use this product for the first time, it was broken
3/5

The instructions for handling and charging were followed to the letter. Due to the fact that my car's battery had died after sitting for quite a while, I thought this would be an ideal time to use my booster pack. My bad! I got ripped off! The only reason I'm grateful is that my car was in the garage and I wasn't trapped out on the highway. No car was started with this product, it did not even start the engine. In an instant, the product went from full battery power to zero battery power. After that, I brought it back into my house to charge again, and it took less than 5 minutes to charge again, and declared it to have reached full charge. It is impossible for me to believe that, my friends. It is a defective product, and should not be purchased, as this would have been a disaster in an emergency.

You get what you pay for
5/5

by buying the Stanley smartstart $55 and it worked once and the next day it wouldn't work (wastage of money), so I started looking for another one that would work because if my truck sits for two days I forget it has two keys. Three months later, the battery gives out. Neither the dome light nor the chime would light up this time. As a result of reading all of the positive reviews and one review that described how AAA uses these cameras, I decided to buy one myself. This is the first time you've used it As instructed, i charged it for a full 10 hours the minute I received the charger! My next step was to connect positive and ground, so by the time I hooked up the negative cable and went to the cab of the truck, all of the lights were on and it started There is no hesitation or nothing at all. The cons are One thing I dislike is that it needs to be charged when not in use if you don't want it to go out quickly or run out of battery (that's what the instructions for the device say) and I use devices like this maybe once a week. I had to purchase these 3 times per year, so it was a bigger investment than I anticipated, but for the price it still seemed a good deal.
