On my 2014 Traverse, I was able to get it to work once. It was only a snag I hit with the first tire (which is front left) that I had the valve stem oriented as the 6 o'clock position when I started relearning. It didn't work right away and after messing around for a few minutes, I decided to see if moving the valve stem would make a difference. I moved the car for the valve stem to be at the 12 o'clock position and it worked right away. It is important to note that once the first tire was recognized by the system, the valve stems on some of the other tires were in the 4 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions Although I'm unsure whether the same will be true on future attempts to use this application, I thought I would share my first experience in case someone else encounters the same issue on their first try.
I have two GM cars with this and both work as they should. As a retired GM technician I have used costly relearn tools, and this tool is at least as good as the tool you can buy at a shop.
In addition to replacing and rotating my tires, Discount Tire would not reset the TPMS even though we expressly discussed it that way. After getting tired of having to remember which way the tires were pointed. I tried the tool which enables you to manually adjust pressure over or under the DIC display. No results were found in our search. I got the item to work on the first try, and it takes a solid 30 minutes The time spent on each tire is 60 seconds, but it is JDIAG EL50448 thanks for your help. The service you provide is better than what Discount Tire can offer.
I liked the price a lot. I was able to buy it for the least amount of money compared to other sellers. The TPMS Relearn Tire Pressure Sensor Reset Activation Tool is made for a particular make of TPMS. When I held the sensor button, holding it against the tire and moving it a few inches from the tire valve, there was a horn beep from the vehicle to acknowledge the sensor. A neighbor of mine has a different brand of orange juice [OTOYAUTO The 50448 Auto Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor, TPMS Relearn Activation Tool is for GM vehicle series from 2006 to 2010. There were some 2019 ] that was from Amazon and they were The sensor gives immediate feedback by merely pressing the sensor against the valve stem near the tire valve (there is no hunting for a reply around the valve stem). It's likely I'll return this item for $2 and pay the shipping costs. The OTUAYAUTO EL-200 must be purchased for USD 2,000 more.
I got the low tire pressure warning before I even left. When I got to the shop, I put the car back into park and went to ask the In order to resolve the issue, I was told that I might need to drive the car for a few minutes to cycle the computer, and if that didn't work, I could return it. I decided to research the tire pressure warning system at home after the dealer told me it was an optional feature. In the morning, I returned to the shop in order to find that the gauge was still misreading. My tire pressure system also needed to be programmed. I did some research and found my sensors just needed to be set. My news had been delivered to the store, so I returned there. Upon talking to the tire guy, the manager learns that the sensors were programmed by him. The vehicle had been put on learning mode, so I asked if that was his intention. While he said he did, I watched him and saw that I discovered the learning mode as part of my self-discovery process. The fact that I was unaware of this is because I had vowed to never work on my own car again however, knowledge is power, and so I am reading my owner's manual once again. In any case, I placed an order for new tires because that would be the solution. In addition, I searched for a method of programming my tires myself at home. This tool and the video that explains how to use it were easy to find online. It only took me less than 5 minutes to program my tires. Then, I went inside and emailed the manager with a link to this tool and the YouTube video I used, urging him to share it with the My memory disappears when I think about how much I spent on this device, but I do remember that it saved me $300 I would have otherwise had to spend on two more tires.
I use this all the time. As part of my routine maintenance on my 2009 G8, I deflated each tire for 8 minutes before re-inflating It takes 15 seconds for each tire to be set. The device does not require me to adjust tire pressure by hand once the procedure is completed like the previous one. Using this method also takes about a quarter of the time to reset my TPMs. Two or three in all I wish I'd bought this device years ago. I wish I'd bought this device years ago. I love it. One thing I do not like about this program is that it takes one minute to start The battery has a 9V output. Unlike the 1980s, we don't live in the past. This is LLL. The 9V is expensive as hell and more difficult to find thanks to the Internet. Instead of AAA or AA batteries, I would prefer it to have more common.
I asked them specifically to make sure they were reprogrammed when I took them back to get rotated. I was told they were unable to do so since they didn't have the right programming, and there was a sensitivity issue with the tires. As a result, it won't Thank you for your understanding. This was too good to be true. Here is a $9 tool I found. I purchased it for $99 and was able to program my own tires within 2 days (thanks to Prime Shipping). Five minutes were all it took. The Bolt EV I have is a 2017 model. My experience with this was totally worth it It worked on all my GM vehicles through 2017, and it proved to be an effective repair. Wally World auto center has gone out of business due to incompetence. The rotation and re-rotation will take place As of now, I'll do my own tire programming.
Despite the fact that I just had my tires rotated at Pep Boys today, I went ahead and tried the tool when I got home just to compare it to what I had experienced. My dash menu had a TPMS page. All I had to do was press check and hold it down until the relearn menu appeared, and then select The first tire to be reset was the front driver's side and I simply placed the tool next to the valve stem and held the power button until the TX light started blinking, and once the car reset. the horn then sounded and the parking lights switched to the next tire. In my experience, this must have been quite a strange experience because the horn sounded and the dash menu returned to the normal tire display once the last one was complete. As soon as I was finished, I removed the battery from the compartment so that it would not gas while it was still in the device. I will reinstall the battery before I use the device If you do your own tire rotation or your shop will not reset the TPMS after they do it, this is an absolute necessity. Furthermore, the price is so low that you don't have an excuse to avoid getting one.
