My RV trailer and boat trailer are both towed by trailers. Among at least six types of chocks I have used, these are the best I have ever had. A highly complex curvature matches the wheels even more closely. The rubber has some flexibility to better conform to uneven surfaces, however it is very dense - that's why it has some flex. Both worlds come together in this case. As a matter of fact, I can use this chock with a plastic leveling block ('lego') if necessary. The rubber wedges between the plastic and the tire, so I'm going to buy another pair shortly.
In order to replace our old, cheap plastic chocks with a set that is more durable, we needed a different set that is more robust. The plastic ones used to chock the wheels was somewhat flimsy, but these are heavy and robust enough to keep the wheels chocked for a very long time. My only wish is that these had some kind of rope that bound them together to make it easier to just grab them and go, but this was a simple modification I made myself so it has no effect on my review.
There are no words to describe how happy I am! These lug nuts are heavy-duty, fit perfectly under your wheels, and do not slip off. The oily residue that others have complained about did not bother me rather, I found them to be lovely If you are not aware of how effective these rubber chocks are until your RV starts sliding when it is unable to use plastic chocks, you are likely to not fully appreciate their effectiveness! The plastic chocks are not to be seen. You can buy these for just a few dollars. Taking this step will not leave you disappointed.
It feels better to hold the rubber version compared with other products made of plastic. In addition, the handle is very nice. The only thing I would like is brighter colors, as I am worried that I will leave one behind if I cannot see it in my possession. Then I will probably paint some bright colors on it.
It has been several years since I bought a pair of chucks, so I finally treated myself to a good pair after using whatever I found lying around. I am very happy with the quality. The ones I chose were just a few of the good looking ones available, but I'm especially fond of their design (curved as opposed to straight). Rubber is good and grips well, and I will probably buy another pair because I like this pair so much.
We thought these were a little too narrow when we first got them. Actually, they are the width of the tread on a tire. Concrete works really well with them. These tires seem to be OK when they are placed on gravel, but they are on their side when I put them on wood to level. I still plan on using a few yellow plastic ones when I hit gravel.
Wheel chocks that are heavy-duty are available here. This is a very good product. The wheels are not weight saving, but this is an item that you do not want to skimp I am very pleased with the quality of the product.
There have been many different types of them for me. Having these under the wheels on the trailer gives me no concerns while parking on an incline.
