Questions & Answers

It is an 4" wide x 54" long front bumper on a 1971 CJ5. What are the chances that the brackets will fit?

You are right. Vertically or horizontally, the bracket can be bolted on. If the jack is bolted to anything, be sure that the fixture can hold its weight.

The Jeep Wrangler TJ tailgate (to the right of the spare tire) is recessed to accommodate this. Can this be used on the Jeep Wrangler TJ tailgate?

As long as you have enough room to accommodate the hijack, you can mount it anywhere. A hole will have to be drilled into the vehicle to mount it. For my YJ, I installed these on the hood. Place the board where you want it to be positioned and mark the holes to be drilled. A little less than 15 minutes You will need 30 minutes to complete the installation. This is an easy process.

What is the difference in width between ?

This product is 5"l X 6"w. The size of the product is 75" diameter by 3" long. Bolt holes are one inch long *br>25" high *br> The dimensions are 75" between the two posts

What is the top measurement of the bracket? Is it 3 1/2 inches or is it 3 1/2 inches from the top of mounting bolt?

A bolt that attaches the bracket to the bumper is 6 3/4 inches in width and one that attaches it to the jack is 2 1/4 inches wide. Two and a half inches is the height of the bracket. My bracket does not have a dimension of 3 1/2 inch, so I am not sure what you're talking about. I am not talking about the same bracket

The term 'heavy duty' refers to a very heavy duty

Though it came late, I am not complaining, since this is precisely what you need for a secure HiLift mount. It should be noted that these mounts are larger than most, and for a own a Voodoo Fabrication rack, a sturdy, full-size rack with a CVT tent that comes with a bed cover that goes on a 2017 Tacoma. I was limited in my options as this is one of the few rack systems that allows the use of a cover with a rack. I had to custom fabricate the rack mount to use with the rack (drill eight holes and make a rear mounting plate) because the rack mount is very modular, but the mounts are so large. If you are considering buying, be aware that this mount is large. In spite of my 165 pounds, I can actually sit on it. As a bonus There are precut holes for a decent size lock to secure it to the post, and it is easy to put on and take and (I never write long reviews! haha) I have an obsession with If the plow is travelling along washboard roads, it makes no noise.

I'd rate it as a 5 Star now
4/5

This mounting kit is what I used to mount my Hi-Fi I lifted a 48 inch jack onto the rear stock bumper of my 2001 Jeep Wrangler and it fits and looks great without any The reason for the 4 stars is because I fixed two features and ultimately improved this product so it is now a 5 star product! The first change was to eliminate the jam nuts from the 1/2 inch carriage bolts, because they prevented the jack bar from making a good flush fit against the As a result, rather than using the jam nuts, I drilled an 1/8-inch hole in the outer edge of the square shank of the carriage bolt and used a cotter key instead of a jam nut to retain it. By lining up the jack bar flush with the mounting brackets, a snug fit is achieved. Secondly, I got rid of the two 3/4 inch locking washers that go under the wing nuts. They do a great deal of damage to both the hardware bracket as well as the nut. It seems like such an overkill to prevent the nut from backing out in return. As an alternative, I fitted two 1/2 inch flat washers to the grooves securing the 3/4" lock As long as you push the wing nuts out far enough on the ends of the carriage bolts, you can insert a lynch pin through the hole at the end of the carriage bolt that will hold them in place and prevent them from backing out any further. If a paddle lock is used in this hole, the mechanism will also work. Now that those two problems have been resolved, I have a 5-star rating I have given this product a 5-STAR rating.

The mount system worked as designed to mount my high lift jack horizontally to my truck toolbox
5/5

The mount is well-made and has the ability to accommodate differences in setups. I replaced the two bolts that go from the jack to the rack with stainless steel bolts that extend from the outer plate and jack all the way up into the interior of my toolbox where I installed a thin mesh In the toolbox, I put the lockwashers and large thumbnuts on the inside to keep them from being stolen, but easily removed when needed. I like how sturdy and well-made the rack appears on my truck, and my high lift looks good too.

Our 2018 power wagon was fitted with the TV inside the bed
3/5

What a mistake! It is not advisable to install software without backing it up. We ripped our bed at the heavy end when the jack of the truck fell on it. Sheet metal was torn in the top two inserts by an average of three inches each. It's impossible to imagine us being the first to experience something like this. These were gravel roads that were in no way severe and only average in quality. Since the 1970s, I have installed lifts in any of our vehicles, but they have always been welded to a bumper or heavy tubing mounted in our own designs. However, I'm still dissatisfied with the design, although I cannot all put the blame on the mount. Mounting it to sheet metal is not recommended.

I am pleased with this product
4/5

This is a great product. It is highly constructed. The installation in my F-grade machine was a little challenging There was a problem with 150, but not a problem with directions or the We'd really appreciate it if Ford's Boxlink system could be mounted with a mount kit. It is what it is. It's still a good idea to keep your luggage jack outside of your vehicle if you don't want it.

A good solution to the problem of clutter
5/5

My primary purpose for purchasing this system was to earn my Hi-Def certification Off the floor with a lift jack of my 2014 Ford F-150 It has a pickup bed length of 150 inches. Powered by all necessary hardware, the system was ready to go. Getting it installed was not hard This task required two people to complete. The arms of at least one of those individuals must be very long. A backing plate (homemade) was installed for the rear most bracket. The metal of the bed is not very thick at that point, and the majority of the weight is concentrated in that area. The fact that it was used feels better than not using This is the Rhino-liner I have on my bed. It was no problem to use long bolts The brackets provide very secure mounting and keep the jack out of the way once they are installed.

It is a great idea to keep extra hardware on hand since the brackets are rock solid and perform exactly as they should
5/5

The product has one major flaw in my opinion, which is the paltry hardware kit that comes with the product. br>The screws should be longer, the flat washers should come with more lock washers, and the lock washers should be as thick as possible. Additionally, two more of the mounting caps would be nice, one to go underneath the lift, and the other to go above. This would really secure it better, and it would give it a nice look as well. The only other issue I ran into was finding a good place to mount the brackets. I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to mount the brackets with washers on each side. My goal was to have a bumper sticker that stood out but was not in the way. There is no metal in the bumpers of a Jeep, which is unfortunately true. I thought the best thing I could do was to put it on top of the In general, I am happy with the product and the location where it is mounted.
