Questions & Answers

Are you going to need mats for each wheel on your painted garage floor to keep it from being damaged?

It won't matter whether you paint your garage floor with 2 part epoxy or not, the heat from your tires will eventually lift the paint from the In other words, if you want to protect the paint of your tires, you need to take steps to ensure that the tires are placed properly. It might be difficult, however, to place the mats properly in such a way that all four tires are evenly distributed You will be able to do that if you do.

There is no adhesion left on my Parking Mat, what can I do to reattach it?

It was a gorilla cement glue we used

As I back into my garage, I see my car parked on the street. Is it possible for rear wheels to transmit bump or stop ?

It doesn't have to differ from if you pulled straight in. The first bump you hit is the small one before you hit the big one, as long as you hit the target

Does a set of two come with them, or do you only receive ?

There is only one (1) of them in a package. I think this is an awesome

Isn't going to stay in place! I can't get it to In addition to using the double-sided tape recommended by the manufacturer, I added construction adhesive, contact cement, and screws
3/5

After parking the car a few times, it moved forward. Now the screws are torn in, and the glue is dripping from the floor.

Worked like a charm for me
4/5

There are just too many narrow roads in the world. I don't have a lot to say about this. I liked that it came at a reasonable price, and the double-sided tape on the back stayed on well, but was easy to remove when I needed to move it (my It takes a lot of effort to get over the first bump, and you won't be able to go over the second bump unless you really try. Although it would be easier for me to roll over if you had a big SUV, I have a sports car. Having not enough width is the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. In essence, I had to measure the width of my front tire, and if it were off a few inches, I'd have to turn over easier. In my opinion, this should be a 3 The fabric should be a minimum of 6 inches wider, preferably on the 6 inch side, and I will give it 5 stars if the extra material is paid. Although I wouldn't buy it again, I'd still buy it again. You can rely on it.

We bought two of these for our garage, and they both work, but there are a few issues
3/5

In terms of the mats themselves, they could be a bit bigger to fit the wheels of today's large SUVs. It works very well with my Kia Soul, enabling you to feel the small bump easily and to secure the car after a big bump. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 that's not so great. that the small bump can be very difficult to detect unless you hit the mat right The bump is mostly out of sight and can be missed if you're slightly off to the sides. It's easy to roll over the big bump, mistaking it for its smaller counterpart. Especially if you're backing up in a 4x4 there is a possibility that torque is being applied to one of the wheels. The mat shifts if this is the case. It has been noted by others that when that happens, the adhesive left on the tape makes it hard to remove because it is sticky, black, gooey and sticks to everything. As of now, I have tried acetone without any success. I plan on trying other things until I am able to remove it. My Kia is going to the one where I have the tennis ball, and my Jeep will be the one with a string.

It remains firmly in place (if done this way)
5/5

This material does not stick to the skin so it doesn't stay in place like other reviews have expressed. You could do as I did, however, and it would remain b- For four years and counting (on a concrete garage floor), proof secure. Cleaning the concrete well will require you to use soap, rinse several times, and mop up the mess You can use triple-action cleaner on your concrete if you have a lot of oil on it This is super-cool! The phosphate (TSP) is used instead of the Hardware stores sell it for this purpose as well as garden stores sell it as fertilizer. As a rule of thumb, make sure to thoroughly rinse the concrete several times after it has been oiled, and let it dry completely. You can park on the mat in several different locations until you find the best one, then mark that location with a sharpie to denote the right location.

Place a sturdy galvanized wire through each of the 4 holes with a length long enough to form a 4-foot cable The loop is 6" in diameter. The mat should be firmly attached to the marks with the sharpie pen. Spread out the wire loops so the mat is flat. Put duct tape on the concrete to hold the wire loops in place. Ensure that the leading edge of the pad is also taped where it rolls over the tire. - Don't waste your time messing around As an alternative to the usual 3M-branded tape, use TREX or Gorilla duct tape It's well known that clone crap doesn't work. Grasp the tape and walk over it to ensure it is firmly attached You will be able to make this concrete last longer than your car if you clean it well. The tape may wear through after several years, and at most, you may need to add another layer every couple of years.

Is in need of a more thorough redesign
3/5

Since I bought it a little over a year ago, I've enjoyed it a lot. In my opinion, the mat should be made of rubber instead of plastic as another reviewer stated. It's hard for the mat's front tire stop to move, even though I pull onto the mat slowly. An attached adhesive strip is insufficient to hold the mat down, and it It turned out I could solve this problem by putting four 2-pound blocks together The 1/2' Tapcon flat is available in red, black or blue There is a pre-drilled hole in the mat for screws I drilled holes in my concrete garage floor and into the walls. BREAKING UPDATE Another parking mat was bought, and the cubes on the bottom did not move. Instead, I filled the cubes with a clear resin (the same stuff that they put on the Hooters tables). As a result, it became brick-shaped My second mat is much harder and hopefully won't crush like the first one. The next time I provide an update will be in about a year. The second update is now available. 0 - September 0 This year - The resin hardens with exposure to air I think my second reinforced parking mat has proven to be much more durable than my first one. I have updated the text. In April 2017, we reached 0 Now, four years later, there doesn't seem to be any cracking or breaking. As it turns out, I beat the company at replacing their planned obsolescence.

You need to stop right there Whenever
5/5

This parking assistant red is exactly what I needed to go along with my laser assist but it is also useful on its own. With this device, you are provided a larger backstop to prevent you from going too far into your garage as a result of it giving you heads up once you've found it. As soon as you have the right position marked, pull the vehicle out of the way and remove the adhesive strip covering (I added more DFT but it was Before you begin, ensure that the corresponding floor spot is well cleaned with an environmentally friendly product You should use isopropyl alcohol as a residual cleaner, taking care to ensure that no ignition sources are Align the object, place it on the floor, press down, and it's My aide makes me feel so comfortable, I'm locked in the right place and the transmission is manual. I sometimes forget to set the parking brake, but I'm sure to put it in gear it's not a problem since the floors are all There were two versions, but I chose the $1 cheaper one as it suited my low slung sports car the best. It arrived fast, plastic wrapped, and was easy to use it is really good for ensuring an accurate parking position. I added the ceiling laser pointer to ensure that the front lip and dash temperature sensor don't move as I hit the front lip a few inches short of laser pointing towards the.
