Dear Joseph, I have also experienced issues with handicap parking permit placard hooks drying out and cracking in the past. I reside Occasionally, heat and humidity on the inside of the car can cause the plastic to break down. There are still some flexibilities in it. Probably have had mine for a little over a year. In case that makes any difference, I keep my car in a garage. In addition, when I am parked in front of a store or business, I keep my phone in the center console of the car and out of direct sunlight when I am not using it. Here is what I hope will help.
It is very good at what it does. An easy way of mounting it to a rear view mirror is due to its large hook. It appears to be a very strong but soft material
Being made of a thick plastic, this device seems pretty solid.
Selected User Reviews For Handicap Parking Placard Holder, Ultra Transparent Disabled Parking Permit Placard Protective Holder Cover with Large Hanger by Tbuymax (Set of 2)
It is brutally hot in Florida, so there is a lot of plastic break down. It is very easy to use these placard protective sleeves for handicapped parking permits. As the placard fits easily into the sleeve, the hook is easy to slip on/off over the rear-view mirror, and the sleeve hook does not stretch, twist, or tear like those found on state issued parking permit hooks. It was an excellent transaction. The seller shipped the goods very quickly and the package was well protected. Although I have had protective sleeves for my handicap parking permit placard in the past, these are the best. The sun caused the plastic sleeve to shrink and cling tight to the placard. This made it difficult for the placard to be removed from the sleeve as time went on. This product has never caused me any problems.
A large hook for "Intelligent" Rear-Locking systems The mirrors on the side of the car. The product is excellent and fits perfectly the placard. This thick protection covers the "intelligent" rear-end of the device with a hook that fits into its bottom-side opening. The mirrors on the side of the car. It was purchased from the DMV his previous placard protector. Sadly, it only lasted a few months before becoming brittle and shrunk. We were recommended to check the Amazon website for quality protectors when we went to renew our placard during the renewal process. That was such a great decision!.
It makes my son very mad when I call it my cripple pass since he's 11 years old. I was just joking, what You just have to It is important to me that these protectors remain in place. Despite its heavy weight, the plastic is very durable. It is just the right size. There is no problem fitting the pass in. In addition, it's much easier to grab it from above the visor and hook onto my mirror that way. Besides being a safety issue (you can not drive with it hanging up), the coat hanger type hook is a nice feature. I think this is an excellent value for the money. The following is a highly recommended book. I appreciate you taking the time to read this.
While they are a bit large than the usual placard holders, it's not necessarily a bad thing to have an oversized item. The holders are much stronger than those in the previous image. A heavy duty hook is attached to the plastic pouch, and both are a little heavier than normal.
One of the placards' seams appears to be crooked in the photo. Would have been better if the seam at that point hadn't been crooked. The hanging will not be The seam is not straight and the closure is not straight. Although the seller did send another one, I feel that I am now being pressured to change my negative review to a positive.
These can eventually get twisted or even break as the tops wear down over time. As a result of mine falling off onto the dashboard and being clearly visible, I once received a ticket. The incident occurred in a hospital whose security was monitored by the The friend who drove me there was quite upset that she was going to get a ticket that would be quite expensive when we had the event. Thanks to the iPhones, we were able to show that it was still clearly visible even at such low light levels. There is no way for that to happen with this device! Quite an inexpensive fix for a problem that many have. I give this product 5 stars!.
We found it impressive that this hanging cover can protect our handicap parking placard. It's made from heavier gauge plastic, and it just tucks into the cover. By having its own hanger, instead of having to fit the placard's shaped hanger into the upper part of the sleeve, the cover can be easily hung up. Our favorite part about this sleeve is that it can be dropped and went right away.
Most people still believe they can drive with the sign up when the sign is clearly marked that they shouldn't do so. In order to protect this new card, I wanted to cover it with a case. I have two of these covers so I will have a spare once this one wears out because it's easier to put on and take off than the last. Instead of getting upset when the mirror starts slipping down, I can just pull it up with the cover. I could only complain that this is larger by quite a bit than the placard, so it occupies more space in my bag. The program is flexible, however, so I have been able to work with it.
