Questions & Answers

Anyone used it to do a complete transmission flush? If so, how did you do it?

Mityvac is meant to avoid all kinds of In fact, I used it to replace three, and it was a complete flush. quarts of fluid were roused four times within 100 miles, the fluid was vibrant pink even after 800 miles, and there was not a drop of fluid It will work if you have patience. Decide what you want to do.

In the case of the synthetic oil owner It is said that some users have reported problems when using synthetic oils with the unit? A recent upgrade or a solution to the problem has been applied?

The two Mercedes I have use Mobil 1 as directed, and I have no trouble using the Mityvac on both. There are a few things you need to do to make this work. a) Call Mityvac and ask for The Mityvac could not be raised off the floor for me to reach the bottom of my pan with the short tubes. It's so awkward! The company is in St Louis MO and takes care of problems. Tell them about your issue and they will take care of it. (*br>2) START YOUR CAR WARM UP RIGHT AWAY! After 3 minutes of driving around the block, your oil is warm enough for it to flow, but not too hot that it will burn you. Remove the FILTER. *br>3/ You need to cover the hole with a rag to keep debris out. Do not stuff it • PUMP 10• PUMP 13 To get the oil flowing, increase the speed by 10x. It will be empty half way up, so you have some room to spare! There are 8 quarts of water in my Mazda BZZ! Drain thoroughly and have patience as it takes a long time to drain To get it all out, it takes 8 minutes. In Step 6, wipe out the area around the filter and oil fill area, reassemble the filter, pour new oil into the housing, and then replace the Usually I add 7 1/2 quarts of oil, run it for 3 minutes, allow it to sit for 5 minutes, then check the level and add oil as needed. Please let me know if this was helpful.

Is it possible to harm this with gas?

The evacuator reservoir will get damaged, and the fittings turn gummy over time. I've had two of them in my workshop--but they were not the same. A gas well and an oil well were both to be used in my boss's refinery. A lot of damage was done to The bag didn't leak, but it looked horrible and it still worked fine. I also did not lose any air. It is a common practice for a mechanic to inform their customers that the fuel pump will never go out with a quarter tank of gas left. There is usually plenty of room or 3/4 of it is filled. This is 20-34 It's a little difficult to remove the tank without sucking some gas out first. Advice buy two, or transfer your gas to a proper storage container and clean out the evacuator and fittings as soon as possible.

Are you using any special products to clean the inside of the tank in order to prevent contamination of the clean fluid?

The one I have had I have used for pumping hydraulic and transmission During the cleaning process, I run a pint or so of gasoline through the tank prior to adding the clean oil. I do not have any problems with this.

We get annual oil changes on 3 or 4 small engines, two jet skis, and a jet boat every year. A year and a half ago, the pump worked fine. A year and a half ago, it did not work. 3 years ago, the pump seized completely, even after I removed the handle and replaced it with a nut and applied uplift with a pry bar. Suction is just created for a short period of time. A contact was made with the manufacturer, and they didn't care about it at all After one year, it's no longer covered under warranty. We wish you the best. The cost of replacement parts is between $45 and $50 The unit cost nearly half of its original price. The vote is with my wallet, and I'll find another way to get the money.

A Volkswagen Golf R would be perfect for this
5/5

As the oil change for my 2016 Golf R has been brewing for a little while now, I have this sitting in my garage waiting for the right time. The process was so easy that there was no way it could have been more straightforward. Almost all of my experience changing oil comes from driving my father's old Ford sedan. Oil can be extracted by following the following steps I.

I got the temperature of the oil up to 130F and then I popped the hood. 3.
The first thing to do is to remove the 1.
2. To use, connect the thin hose to the fat hose and then the thin hose to the After you have inserted the other end into the dipstick hole, you can push it all the way down to the bottom (wait until it reaches the bottom). Four (4). -Make sure the Mityvac is set to "Evacuate" by pushing the little button that goes up and down. This is 5. Ten times pump the pump. The number six. I'm going to get a coffee. Ibid. (
7). Let me know when you can return in a few minutes. I got it! Really, there was no simpler way to do this. After it has extracted for some time, you can hear it gurgle air, or you will be able to see the level on the Mityvac container not rising. I poured the fresh new oil into my car after I switched to it from the old- The oil is the one Into the very same quart containers I dispensed the old oil, and I then took them to the garage to be disposed of. Another easy way to do it is Dispose of old oil in the following manner I.

1) Set the Mitvac to dispense mode with the "Dispense" button. In "
2, The end of the hose should go into one of your old 1.
2. It is important to pump the Mityvac at least Four (4). The only caution is that if you're using smaller oil containers (I used 1 quart containers), you'll have to stop the oil flow. On the lid, pull on the little vacuum release black "thing. " To open, push on the bottom of the vacuum release. When you keep your black thing in place, you'll hear the air release as you stop Alternatively, if the hose is still dripping, you can always switch the Mityvac to "Evacuate" and pump a few times to ensure there is no leakage out of the hose while you switch containers. The filter is also located on top of the engine, right next to the dipstick, in the Golf R. Changing the filter and adjusting the openings is all that's needed This ring comes with the OEM filter, as does the 32mm 6-inch intake tube The socket wrench must be used to remove the socket. The only thing to take you a few minutes is to put in this part!

Overall, this is an excellent addition to my garage, and again - thanks a lot! Considering this is the first time I've changed my oil. I'm so glad! The rating for this product is 5 The product is excellent.

When you realize a few things about the product, it's fantastic Here are some tips for you! I think this is an excellent product - thanks It is only useful if it is used Following are some tips that can be helpful for saving people's time

An extra plug is located at the top of the canister. Before you use the plug, make sure it is locked down. a very long time, I was not getting oil sucked into the canister even after repeated pumping. It was found that a sealing ring had been installed. I removed the top to confirm. but had still not been able to get the oil to come out. Upon reflecting for a further five minutes, I realized what I had done. Make sure the plug is in. You have won! I got the job done that way. There is also an additional When you're sucking oil from your car, you should run the car for a few minutes to warm the oil up. It was difficult at first to see where the bottom of the oil pan was when I first put the tube into the dipstick tube. In the beginning, I got a slow flow of oil when I was extracting The tube eventually broke when I fuffed with it and finally pulled it far enough that it had to have snapped when I tried again All of a sudden, I got kinked. Oil spewed from the chimney with a "whoosh. ".

Copy and paste this code into your browser The 5qt container is the most economical way to purchase oil One of the best reasons for using quart bottles is that it is significantly cheaper (especially if you use synthetic formulas). With my vehicle taking nearly five gallons of oil, I find the bottle to be the perfect container for storing With just a flick of the switch, the mitty vacuum will start pumping and oil will be disposed of in a container without a mess. With the exception of a few user errors, the product is fantastic, well built, and the ability to pump out the contents with a pump is well worth the twenty dollars you would have to Additionally, there is an extra advantage to the fact that the pump component is located outside the canister.
