Questions & Answers
The Max Green EV charger is capable of delivering 16 amps of power.
At 220 volts, there are sixteen (16).
This charging station is suitable for circuits and breakers with current ratings of up to 20 A. 30 A (I. a clothes dryer that is powered by electricity at home). It will charge on your 50 A circuit, but not as quickly as a 20 A circuit would. To enjoy a much faster charging rate, you should invest in a charging station that can handle (and deliver) a higher amperage.
I'm guessing it's designed to be used indoors because the product only has a regular connection like an extension cord.

This is a review of the Max Green EVSE that includes 5 adapters. That will be discussed further down. br>br>When charging from a 240 V outlet, this product is an EVSE (commonly referred to incorrectly as a charger) that provides 16 A to your vehicle. It has a NEMA 6-rated power supply. 20 molded plug, not screw-in on the market, such as some of the less expensive portable EVSEs It's worth noting that the adapters are also molded, so there are no screws to deal with. Here are some plugs. If you want a weatherproof outdoor EVSE that you can take with you, this is critical. The box is also IP66 or IP67 rated. Using one of the included adapters, you can charge at 110/120 V. I found that charging at level 1 with the Max Green was noticeably faster than charging at level 2 with the EVSE that came with my Chevy Bolt. br>br>I took the Max Green portable EVSE with me on a trip to Yuma to visit a friend. I had already tested it at 120 and 240 V in my garage, and it worked perfectly - However, it is not as quick as my JuiceBox. I plugged the car into a standard 110 V outlet when I arrived at his house and watched it slowly charge. A mutual friend noticed an old dryer outlet right next to the panel an hour or so later. A washer and dryer were apparently installed on the back porch by the previous owners. br>br>The MaxGreen included a NEMA 10-rated power supply. It was a 30 adapter that performed admirably. (The myChevrolet app took notice of the significantly faster charging rate and adjusted the finish time accordingly. ) ) I should also mention that it rained in Yuma that weekend, so I couldn't babysit. I was a little nervous because I had sat in my car for the entire evening. But, thanks to the myChevrolet app, I was able to keep an eye on things remotely, and the car was fully charged the next morning. br>br>While this EVSE isn't as inexpensive as some of the other 16 A units on the market, I believe the build quality is superior, with molded plugs and receptacles as an added bonus. If you're going to use an EVSE outside, it needs to be water resistant. The 5-adapter version of this product will cover almost every scenario you can imagine, as well as a few you can't. (I never imagined I'd be using the NEMA 10-foot extension cord. ) Adapter number 30.
as well as their families! We recently purchased an electric vehicle (Pacifica) and were dissatisfied with the included 110v charger. A full charge takes more than 12 hours. Not in the least. I considered installing a hardwire station at home, but it was prohibitively expensive; however, we had an empty electric dryer with 240 plugs, and discovered this charger! It works flawlessly and charges the car in under 3 hours from a dead battery. I've taken a few road trips in the car, and the other chords have proven to be extremely useful. I borrowed one from a friend who had an outlet for his welder, and I borrowed one of the other dryer plugs from a friend who lived in a house that was older than ours - As a result, we went with the 10-point system. Adapter for 30 plugs. br>br>We've also tried the standard 110 plug, which works just as well as the one that came with the car. br>br>Every EV owner should have one of these chargers. and should be standard on all electric vehicles. We also registered the unit with the company, and we received a free wall-mounted television. mount. br>Overall, it was the best investment we've made in our new electric vehicle. It is something I would strongly suggest. br>At the time of writing, we had been using this chord exclusively for 7 months and had had no problems. Advantages: br>br> br> Almost every plug we've encountered fits this description. br> br> br> br> 2 br> b 3 hrs. br> The chord is quite long; we have it at the very back of our garage and it stretches for about 5-feet. 6 feet beyond the garage doorbr> Has a plug cover, which I think will be useful when it starts to rainbr>br>Cons:
- When stretching the chord, the plugs (connecting the core charger to the Adapter chord) have come apart. (This was fixed for $6 by using a water adapter connector to hold the plugs together. )br>- When the chord is fully loaded, it warms up, but not to the point of being dangerous.
I needed a charger that was both portable and could be used both at home and outdoors. Use in a garage or other enclosed space. I also appreciate having the extra adapter extensions for when I travel to see family and can use them in a variety of high voltage plugs to allow for faster Level 2 charging (i. e. , dry plugs, and plugs for high-voltage shop equipment). br>In my search, I didn't want a wall-mounted behemoth that I couldn't easily pack up and move, and the prices were far too high for my basic needs of charging my EV (BMW i3 REX). The Max Green combines the best of both worlds for me. The charger also comes with a sturdy carrying case that I can use to wrap up my charger and adapters and carry them in my backpack. It's very useful! br>If your EV has an online app, like mine, you can check the status of charging and don't need WiFi connectivity to a wall charging unit, and honestly, why would you with the technology that most EVs have? I wasn't willing to pay the extra $200 for what appeared to be a gimmick. For 300 dollars. br>The charger cable is hefty-looking. It was a fantastic purchase, according to my electrician. He mentioned that some EV chargers with smaller gauge cords can be dangerous due to heating issues, but I've never had any issues with my Max Green. The charger fits snugly into the i3's charging port. The charger that came with my BMW didn't work nearly as well as this one! br>Overall, I'm very pleased with the product, and the portability is ideal for daily use.
The surprising thing is that everything went according to plan. Everything looks, feels, and works beautifully, including the packaging, cables, and cable quality. This was purchased to replace the level 1 charger included with my Bolt EV. So I don't use it every day, but it's great because it comes in a small carrying case with a separate bag for the various short cables that can be used for various types of plugs, and now I have a level 1 and 2 charger that I can use pretty much anywhere in the United States. It arrived the next day after I ordered it, and there have been no problems so far, so I'm pleased with my purchase.
