The umc can be turned upside down. Does it work? In my case, the umc runs upwards from the 240 volt socket near the floor. ?

In fact, yes. From either end, the charger unit widens in the middle. Is well-suited for the purpose.

Do you know if this will work with the new Gen 2 mobile charger?

In fact, yes. In June 2020, I received Model Y and it is suitable for me. This mount remains tightly attached to the charger due to the rubberized material of the Tesla plug. I have mine mounted on the ceiling of the garage as a cord relief for the drop-down portion of the garage

The printing job looks great This cable is not designed to fit the new mobile charging connector

You did a nice job with the printing. A set of two wood screws is included. Using Shapeways can get you a printer that you can use with your own printer. There seems to be a design that would work with Gen 1 Tesla Mobile Connectors. Due to this, the model does not fit the new Gen 2 perfectly. The fitment is fine, but it would be nice to have an updated version.

what it is supposed to do

It works as it should. Maintains the connection between the charger and the plug, preventing tension from building up. There is a little bit of sturdy plastic and screws in here, but for the price it seems a bit excessive.

Is exactly what it says it is. The gen 2 mobile connector is plugged into the top of the wall connector and fixed to the wall when it is screwed down. There is a place for it.
