Questions & Answers

Can I use this adapter to connect to a regular connection at home since the plug on this adapter is the same as the one on my electric stove?

You will not be able to use it. The charger can only be used to charge EVs. The power source is only 15Amp and 125 Volt. It will not power your stove since it requires more than 15Amp and 125Volt. I am a service technician at Tony's AC Connectors.

Worked like a charm! There is no need to buy a charger
5/5

The method works really well! In the event you have one of these and a spare dryer plug in your garage, you won't need to buy an expensive charger. You will have to lower the Tesla's charging limit to 26 amps or less, since dryer plugs are only 30 amps and the car attempts to draw 40 amps by default. But the good news is that once you adjust the setting once, the car will remember it all the time. Despite being plugged in at 26 amps, the car will still charge at 18 miles per hour, so we can charge the car every night without it getting overly hot. Another one just came in for our weekend cottage. I really like this!.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A Level 2 EV charger, then this is exactly what you need! Chargers for electric vehicles don't have to be specific to Tesla, but they do need to be specific to that brand
4/5

In order to use the 220V charger, both 110V posts need to be contacted. It is not necessary for current to flow, as long as there is contact between the two. Consequently, RV adapters that convert 220V to 110V fail to charge EVs. On the RV versions, the second 110 post is blank (empty). It is common for me to make that mistake on an initial purchase seeking something cheaper (half price), but it does not My first knowledge of this came from that point on. In exchange for $50, I would have preferred if the plug had been This is not the case, it is screwed in. While it has a nice handle and seems sturdy, it also has a good length, allowing it to conform to any configuration of plug arrangements one might come across on the road, yet is still small and easy to store. As this is my first electric vehicle road trip, I am very excited to experience this security.

The construction is excellent
5/5

I would recommend it. My electric vehicle starter was a Clipper Creek EVSE with a built-in plug, which is 50 amps (actually 40 amps). temporarily installed it in a location where there was an older NEMA 6 in Each receptacle has a capacity of 50 liters. This style of NEMA 14-feet is what I wanted It's more common and modern, with its extra ground pin, so let's call this the 50 plug (call me silly). If I had bought a bigger receptacle from Home Depot, I would have had to buy this adapter cord instead, but I was lazy. I like how it works.

The convenience is great
5/5

Detected my portable level and connected it without any issues. This is a great convenience. I was able to connect my portable Level 2 charger to my Honda Clarity PHEV with a 30 foot extension cord through my garage. * * *.

How to charge a Tesla Model S in the garage with a 30 amp line
5/5

We are renting an apartment with a 220 volt outlet located in the perfect spot to charge our Tesla Model S, but the outlet is only a 30 amp line with a NEMA 10 plug. The range has 30 outlets. When we were using a 50 amp, NEMA 10 cable, we were achieving 28 miles per hour The number of connections is 50). Although it is a bit difficult to unplug, we wish it were easier- Connecting the two is very tight.

Up until today, it worked fine
5/5

I have edited. It had been working fine for over a month until today. In its current state, it only makes a scary crackling sound, followed by a restart. There is no longer any charge! It was necessary to order the (much cheaper) adaptor from Conntek right away. My next review will be on that one. To be on the safe side, I always kept the charging voltage at 23 amps. *Edit
It doesn't seem like the adaptor is the cause of this problem. The dryer outlet / Tesla seems to have a finicky connection. Due to what I was told, I changed my rating from 1 star to 5 once I realized the issue was not related to.

What a great idea! Thanks so much for sharing! I love how easy it is! A dryer outlet that I had previously been unable to use can now be used for charging my Tesla 3
5/5

In fact, the instructions were very simple, and the warnings (which I usually ignore) were strategically placed (you lower the charging amp in With their simple diagrams of product offerings, I was able to match my outlet to the correct product with no knowledge of electronics. I went from getting 4-in-1 products to getting the correct product. My 110 outlet went from 5 miles an hour to 20 miles an hour It is traveling at 21 miles per Thanks for being so nice to me. I'm really excited about it.
