The year 2007 officially ended on June Like many reviewers before me, I have the same problem with the small end having an unknown thread size on it. However, after spending time searching the hardware store for both SAE and Metric thread sizes, you can still see that nothing seems to fit. With a 12mm bolt of coarse thread, it would fit but wiggle just a bit, whereas a 1/2" bolt would fit but won't fit. Then I went down to the brass fitting section and found that a 1/4 inch pipe thread slides into the fitting easily, but becomes quite tight as it slides in. To apply about 100 psi to my crankcase and listen for leaks, all I need is to screw in an air hose fitting so I can screw that down tight, attach a 3-foot hose, and a 1/4" ball valve connected to yet one more hose fitting. By using the IPR opening, both sides are taken care of. With copper threads, I went with a 1/4" male to 3/8" female brass fitting. As the song starts, it gets easier but quickly becomes more challenging. It is important to note that you could apply enormous pressure since the HPOP operates at up to 3,000 PSI. It might help to run a 1/4" tap through it to loosen things up if that doesn't work.

My job is being a mobile mechanic at a company that works on the 6th generation. It has been dry all the time. Decided I had to buy this tool, but it is hard to find one that has My hope was that the negative reviews were inaccurate. Yet, it seems to be true Neither a standard air fitting nor a fitting for a standard air source will fit the threads When turbo is still running, the socket used for removing the IPR is different from the IPR socket used in the first place. Keep an extra O ring on hand for perfect fitting

The O ring is the only thing I would consider a negative point when evaluating this product. Here at the shop, I use this IPR air test fitting a lot. After oil was applied to the O ring, the O ring split as I was sliding the fitting in, even though I had applied oil. O rings made of viton are the best option. Using AC O rings in green color is fine. In my experience, these are the best. I used a
3/8"x12" air hose whip and a 3/8" ball valve from Harbor Freight Here are also links to Amazon where you can buy them. There is no doubt that this fitting is well worth the price. Although the O ring stinks, the tool is well worth 5 stars as a tool.

I don't understand why Airline is using such bad threads! Neither the threads nor the spool are tapered

One cannot engage more than one thread at the same time. Threads for these must be made with PROPER 1/4" National Pipe Taper (NPT). It is a suitable chunk of metal, other than that.

An issue with the size of the omegas A ring with an OD that is too large. An O-shaped pit is located in the area Replace the OD of the ring with one of a more suitable size and cut the O-ring There is a grove in the ring. It works much better this way.

While the end of the motor that screws into it fits fine, the end of the air line that you have to attach to it doesn't fit any fittings for air lines,.

This must be done in order to diagnose Oil leaks have not been detected in the engine's high-pressure system. A swivel connector is attached to the end of it, then I use a swivel whip hose to connect the two.
