A simple and accurate method for locating vehicle noise

What is the material used to make the cup? Is it better to use plastic or metal? Is there a diaphragm that is made of plastic?

The cup is made of plastic, while the diaphragm is made of metal.

What country does it come from?

Taiwan was the place where it was made. It's unlikely that it was planned for that location. It's a good product for the money, and if you're a do-it-yourself mechanic, it's ideal. Even though the earpiece rubber type material is a little stiff, the unit is well worth the money I paid for it.

Is it necessary to remove the cover with the small hole for the metal rod in order to use the acoustic 'horn'? I don't hear much through that tiny hole. ?

The sound is funneled from a larger area (the horn's mouth) into the tiny hole by snapping the horn over the cover with the tiny hole. br>br>The earpieces were not very comfortable for me.

What country does it come from?

Taiwan. However, it was most likely created in another location.

I'd been looking for one of these for a while, and it arrived quickly and in good condition. While it may not appear to be very impressive at first glance, believe me when I say that it is. It's something I use all the time and it's great. I'm getting older and can't tell where sounds are coming from, so this is a great tool to have. Is it the alternator or the idler that's making a noise? This is the tool you've been looking for. Is there a chance the injector is bad? It's finished now. REVIEW HAS BEEN ADDITIONALLY UPDATED I've had it for about a year and a half, and while I still love it, the steel probe has a very fine thread or goes into plastic or something, and when you take it out, it feels like you have to thread it back in forever until it catches. I would still recommend it unless there is a better one at a reasonable price.

Design is a joke

I find it difficult to believe that the product's creators actually used it. It comes with a large 'horn' that picks up that sound, which you must install on a cap with a small hole that blocks the majority of the sound. What did they have in their heads?.
