Questions & Answers

How many times can each head be used before it needs to be replaced, or is it only meant to be used once?

They're only meant to be used once. Before replacing mine, I had used it about 5 or 6 times. It is dependent on the amount of material and how well it is cleaned.

How big of an air compressor should I get for this?

I had a 30 gallon compressor that was too small to keep consistent pressure, so I upgraded to a DeWalt 5 hp, 3-cylinder 80 gallon compressor.

Is it possible to use satin latex/acrylic paints with this system?

If the thickness is greater than a standard 1: You should look into priming atomizing heads such as the clear 1 if you have 1 mixed auto paint. 2mm or 8mm 0mm.

Excellent item - Instructions are dreadful
5/5

This is a fantastic solution. Because it sprays so well, I will save a lot of money on paint. br>br>The directions are terrible. Let me say it again - The directions are a disaster. Did I mention how bad the directions are? br>br>It says it's for professional use, so I'm guessing they assume you're already familiar with how these high-end guns operate. I'm going to call 3M because I had to use trial and error to get the air pressure just right. In my opinion, the gauge they provide is useless, but that could be because I don't know how to use it properly. a problem with the instructions I don't know how to use the mixing sleeve, so it's useless to me as well. This is referred to as 2 to 3M. If you're going to buy this, you might as well buy a bunch of those thin inserts and caps with the filter already built in. You get five, and each insert/cap combination should last you one painting session. I made a 4:1 ratio of paint to thinner. Because my paint didn't come with instructions for using it with a spray gun, I used the oz scale in the mixing insert to make 1 ratio. I have no idea what the other scales on the mixing insert mean. br>br>If you mix up a batch and run out while spraying, if you use common sense, you can reuse the insert and cap for some more spraying. The insert will be collapsed, so simply push it back down with a screwdriver or other tool to restore its original shape. Rinse the inside of the cap filter with thinner to get rid of any crud it caught before it got into the spray stream. Now you can mix and reuse your ingredients as usual. Please keep in mind that the insert will not be perfectly flat after use, so the mixing scale may be slightly off. Don't worry about it unless you're trying to paint the Mona Lisa. br>br>The first is. For a steel primer and subsequent paint, I only used 4 head. I put in an order for one box. I sprayed two steel structures with primer one day and cleaned the head because I suspected that's what I'd end up using (and I was correct). The next day, I sprayed black enamel on one structure with the same head, then cleaned it and sprayed white enamel on the other. It was a huge success. The gun is extremely easy to clean, and the consumables are inexpensive.

Work is excellent! My street rods will get a final coat of paint with these spray heads
5/5

I use a solid-color enamel paint. My paint costs are low, so if I get rock chips or a ding, it's not a big deal. To clean these heads, only a small amount of solvent is required. If the pattern begins to deteriorate, simply replace the head and continue. The Accuspray gun can be fitted with a variety of spray heads to cover all of your painting needs, from primer to clear coat.

Another great addition to the 3m accuspray system's versatility
5/5

Another great addition to the 3m accuspray system's versatility. One spray gun can spray anything from clear coat to gelcoat if the atomizing head is the right size. Shoot two-part high-build primers, awlgrip, imron, boat paint, car paint, and other similar products with the same gun and the appropriate tip size. There will be no more squandered time, and there will be less cleaning!.

This is the size of Accuspray that I use the most
5/5

Spraying metallic base coats, single-stage paints, and even clear coats is a breeze with this tool. I don't do a lot of painting, but I usually do three or four at a time. In an inflatable paint booth, four full vehicle paint jobs are completed each year. This system with these heads isn't quite as nice as a 1000$ gun in a proper booth, but most of my builds are medium/high quality, just below a show quality job, and this set up certainly does the trick.

Throughout, there is a focus on quality and excellence
5/5

These suggestions have left an indelible impression on me. They do, after all, come from a reputable brand. And the brilliant design of the plastic, which allows me to see through it, is extremely useful when cleaning. I've had my gun and tips for almost a year and I'm still in love with them. I haven't even pulled out one of my other two guns yet.

The product is excellent and performs admirably
4/5

In my 3M accuspray, these are perfect. I deducted one star due to the price, which was lower than most but still higher than I would like to pay.

Worked perfectly
5/5

It is less expensive to use and dispose of than it is to clean. This is fantastic! It's cheaper and easier to throw away after use than to clean them at $5 each. I've also cleaned and repurposed with great success.
