Yes, they stretch out. I use them as a cap off for titanium screws when I powder coat. They don't fit over bolts larger than 5/16, and they just rip too easily

There will be no problem fitting a 1/4" diameter bolt with these.

The don't have the ability to be painted. Because they are made from silicone, the paint would not adhere well to them.

My hand or arm scraped against some bolts that were sticking out of a post and I bought them to cover them. No new cuts have occurred after I hit it purposely with my hand. Worked like a charm.

My bitters bottles would not have been complete without this cap. There used to be fruit flies in the tips before. Those are just the ticket, and they're elastomeric enough to fit a few different types of bitter bottle tips.

Caps with a weight greater than vinyl

In order to protect the steel rod end from sharp edges, I needed end caps that were heavier than vinyl caps these caps are at least twice that The coatings appear to be tough, durable, and reusable, though I have not used them for powered coating.
