I needed to do my homework because I am not an HVAC technician, and I realized that no Split A/C project can be completed properly without this device, but it takes a lot of thought and understanding to use it PROPERLY so that it produces the best results. I bent a couple of valves, so spares are included. Please practice extracting and inserting cores from a dummy pipe fitting before using the real one. br> br>In doing so, I discovered that the extractor's very tip has a small silicon grabber to hold onto the valve core and prevent it from falling out inside the device before it is extracted. . . br>Practice will give you a feel for this: It Is Simple: )br>br>The brass caps will come in handy for the other items in my project box that will be needed to evacuate the NEW A/C unit- br>All such pipes should be tightly capped as much as possible to keep out dust and non-essential materials: )br>br>Excellent value- There isn't a single thing I don't like about it, with the exception of the operator!.
The package was in the shape of a clam shell. I ordered another one, which is the same valve, and it arrived in a plastic bag that was a little battered. This one was located in a. Shiney and new ice-protecting clam shell. The caps came in handy, and the schrader valves are of good quality.

It does what it says on the tin if you want to replace a schrader valve without having to depressurize the entire system. Allows for the temporary removal of a schrader valve, which speeds up the evacuating of a system.
It's a great deal and it works well. The core removal tip has a perfect grip on the core and creates a great seal.
