I'm sure it will be a waste of time. Since I bought it two years ago, I have had it. The scale was in my garage today and I heard a beep from the scale. I've owned it for 2 years and used it one time. So I replaced the battery, thinking that perhaps the scale had a dead battery. After doing so, I found that the scale no longer worked. The scale just says hello with no other functions, has been kept in a safe, dry location with the original silica packet inside the case, WTF the scale has no other functions. It's a very large investment for only one usage contacting the company today. I'm sure it will be a waste of time. The item has been in my house for two years, so I am sure of my own independence. We'll see if they stand behind the product. Hopefully I'm wrong. I won't pay to repair it. That seems like throwing good money after a bad product.
The war is over, however. This worked really well when I got it for the first time. Although it still functions except the on/off key and the screen has been made so light that it is hard to read the numbers just a couple of months ago, I didn't notice this until I got it. I have contacted the manufacturer, who will send it back to me for warranty repairs, however, in the meantime I will be forced to do without the scale I use nearly every day. Having said that, I will have to get a replacement to use, and it won't be a mastercool scale. The last thing I ever did to my scale was to replace the batteries about 8 years ago.
As you can see, I purchased the product 18 months ago and have used it only a few times since then (you can see it is still brand new). However, all of the lower number segments on the LCD display Since it has hardly been used, I expected it to last longer. Although it is technically out of warranty, I expect it will hold up. Mastercool has so far been very unhelpful to me and I was hoping for a bit more support.
I work as a commercial service tech. Having owned this scale for 6 years, I know how accurate it is. This is a decent The problem is. This is
br>- Winter is the coldest time of the year, so the buttons won't work. My fingers have to be held on them in order to warm them up, yet even then, they do not work. I have to deal with the scale not always tare when I need it to, so it is frustrating to have to deal with. When you are on a roof in winter and trying to get off the roof in time, you would rather get the job done quickly than taking your time. Please note - Several months later, the cheap plastic handle broke off and I had to rig it up to get it to lower, causing the scale to crash to Please note - Now the plastic hinge is falling apart as well since both cheap plastic latches were broken off. - thing you need to know about it is that it can hold 240 pounds plus. The scale I purchased is not something I would purchase again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone involved in the trades for a living. It is possible to do so if you work in a laboratory that keeps the scale stationary and keeps it in a warm environment. This time I am going to use the TIF model.
The purchase is very nice. The first thing I want to say is that this is a late review and I apologize for that. However, as this was for my stepfather, I had no need for it. I am pleased with its performance so far. Although, I cannot understand why, when we first bought it, we could simply turn it on and it would immediately start weighing everything. To obtain an accurate measurement, now we must press the 'Tare' button. There is no fault on the part of the manufacturer, but there is a fault on the part of its users. The purchase is very nice. It is definitely worth the recommendation.
I find it very useful. I have been using this for over a year now and have had.
It is exactly what it says it is. I have used it twice now. There are times when it drifts a bit Five Oz is not much of a The battery is 9 Volts and it works with only one.
It showed up for $140 bucks and I'm not sure whether it will. The case and clips that hold the item closed were both broken when the item was received. After checking into sending it back, I found that I would be out another week or two waiting for another one because I would have to ship it back, then wait for a refund/exchange. Now I'm looking forward to seeing how this works because it showed up for $140 bucks and I am not thrilled with it.
