So far I have only had it a little while. It's quiet, small, and seems Though the price is a bit steep, the fact that I am pushing 600 horse power was of paramount importance.
The vacuum pump has been mounted inside the vehicle's trunk by many of our customers. The performance of the pump has not been affected by such a distance.

It's a bummer to use relay. It's really quiet when the pump runs. However, the relay will not turn off once it is turned on, it stays on for three hours I have noticed that it continues to run up to 4 minutes even when the pressure switch is disconnected, as if it has an off scheduler that keeps it running even after the satisfaction has been reached. Quite a bit of vacuum is pulled (my gauge maxed out). I have ordered an adjustable delay on timer with an instant off that will be installed soon. The reason you have a delay off timer is unclear to me. If you want the pump to stop at a specific pressure and then turn back on at another, a delay is nice so that the pump does not run too long.
On the picture, you can see a reservoir I installed to see if it would fix the hard pedal. Much like a reservoir, it's not really needed, but I had to see if it did. My favorite feature of the tank gauge is that it came with the I require less than a minute to reach 20" of vacuum when I start my pump with the extra storage. Ten inches of pressure usually lasts for a few weeks in my reservoir. Would have been great if this had been insralled several.
The installation in front of the radiator of a 78 camaro was an arduous task for this DIYer. There is a small opening from the hood release bracket that needs to be cut to take the pump through, so you have to remove the hood release bracket, manufacture a bracket to attach the supplied bracket, and take the case apart. I did not want to drill any holes in the trunk, since that was the only option left. It makes a great difference in how well the car stops in the end.
It is a total waste of money. One was bought, it was installed. The vacuum hose pulled a depth of 8 inches. There is no way to get close to A new one was given to me after I returned the old one. The vacuum did not pull Nothing happened when the motor was turned on. Returning it and issuing a refund. Afterward, I got a third one and powered up for a very short period of time before quitting. A power cord is attached to the motor, however the motor does not turn on. There was no time that any of these items had been run so they all showed malfunctions right out of the box. Don't get involved with this garbage. There is a lack of When I saw it for twice the price of others, I thought it would be indistinguishable from the other brands. There are twice as many problems.
It took me a couple of years to get rid of one of the cheaper noisy vacuum pumps. There were times when it worked intermittently and it was extremely frustrating. This is the one I ended up buying after I threw it away. It would have been better if I had spent the money on this one from the start. As I pulled out of the garage the first time, my brakes almost caused me to bang my head on the windshield. The pump is located under the hood and is barely audible when the key is turned on, and it cannot be heard when the engine is Unlike the other piston pump, this was not the case.
The first one I got was for a 71 GMC, and the second was for a 69 El Camino. Both had a built 350, and the brake booster was unable to operate because of insufficient vacuum. As a result of this pump, both vehicles are now able to use their power brakes again. Compact and exceptionally quiet, they are a good fit for small spaces. A good vacuum pump is essential if your cam is ticking and you don't have good vacuum.
I installed and connected it without any issues. It is very quiet, and when the hood is open and the car is off you only hear a short hum in the background. Neither you nor your car can hear it when the hood is closed and the engine is running.
It's great for brakes it generates a lot of vacuum. There is now a nice amount of pressure on the brake pedal as it should be. If the engine doesn't generate enough vacuum, you'll have to turn on the power brakes.
