Questions & Answers

Are the yellow hoses capable of being connected to a can tap for R134?

The yellow hose from R12/R22 can be used on an R-134 system as it is designed to fit that hose. You can connect the yellow hose to this female fitting so that you can tap into the R 134 can. Fittings on the vehicle for R34 will accept the adapters.

This is a very nice coupler set, it works perfectly! To replace the quick connectors that were included with my AC manifold gauge set, I bought these
5/5

There was one leak on the one that came with the gauges when it came to the screw down knobs actuating the Schrader valves. It would not even fit over the valve when I got a new one. Lucky for me, I had ordered these in case I needed a backup. The lock ring kind of stays up until the housing of the schrader valve is snapped into place, so at first I thought these were defective. The locking ring snapped into place immediately when you did that! The valves snap on very easily. They do not leak, are easy to remove, and you do not have to deal with In order to add new R134 refrigerant, I used these to vacuum out my system. As soon as I vacuumed out the system, I let it sit for about 30 minutes to make certain it was leak-free. There were no leaks since the vacuum did not change. The fittings, like the system, did not leak either, so not only did the system retain pressure, but these fittings as well. There is no chance of that happening. My rating for these quick couplers is five out of five, and I will definitely be purchasing them again. A quality fitting of this quality comes at a very reasonable price. I forgot to mention the adapter fitting that came with them was just what I needed since my gauge set hoses would only go with the 1/4" flare fittings and my freon can has With this adapter, you can attach it easily to the o-ring and seal it with the clamp It holds my yellow hose right in the 1/4" male flared threads of the adapter and then it fits into the ring inside. There is one note of caution for folks, all of these fittings are designed to only be hand tightened! To tighten these fittings, do not use pliers or anything else, as they will become overtightened and ruin the rubber o-ring There will be a leak if the ring is inside the tube. All they need is to be snugged up tightly with your hand, and then they will work as they should.

A high pressure will not cause this valve to release
3/5

My wife's husband made this for me. I like the design and it appears to be of You can feel how smooth they are when you insert them over the connection and how tightly they latch on. As well as spinning smoothly, they do not leak either. Although it is off in color, the picture still looks good. Upon receiving mine, they were color coded Red/Blue (I have no complaints). It came with a connection so that I could use the 30 lbs. of R134a with it. To hook up my commercial gauges (Sman4), I use a can designed for the auto industry. Hopefully you've got some good news by now. As soon as the pressure exceeds 100 pounds. As they become more difficult to release, they become more difficult to handle. In most cases, the low side of the system isn't a problem except after the system is pressurized with nitrogen at 300 pounds. As a result, they could not be released. In order to remove the items, I needed to wait until I was calm enough to release some of the pressure. It was a quality product but I couldn't get them off under pressure. If I hadn't been unable to get them off under pressure, I would have given them a 5 star rating. My product will be returned and I'll be buying a clamping type to avoid this issue happening in the future.

It is easy to use, and the quality is good
5/5

There is no doubt about the quality of these adapters. My original R12 hose fittings fit well onto these adapters and I was able to connect an R134a line to my existing R12 system without any problems. did not experience any leaks and basically these adapters made it possible for me to use my old A/C manifold gauge with R12 hoses and fittings on a R134a vehicle. I was able to avoid spending money on a new set of R134a hoses and R12-compatible fittings with these adapters There are really expensive acme adapters for R134a (which is not an option). A final feature of these adapters is they won't let the pressure built up inside your gauge come out just as soon as you disconnect them from the AC system. This basically locks in any back pressure, so you can safely let go of the remaining pressure through your valve knobs on your manifold. To use it in the way I do, I connect the yellow hose (the recharge hose) to the center of the holder and allow it to As soon as I'm done checking the system, I disconnect the red and blue quick disconnects from my car (the car doesn't hiss after I disconnect them). I then take my manifold gauge outside and while pointing the yellow hose in a safe direction I slowly release the red and blue hoses' pressure by turning each manifold knob until it is safe to do so. A set of R12-issued studs is available for the very first time There will never be a need for R134a.

A short period of time
3/5

The low side of these were purchased in 2016 (it is now 06/15/2020), but now they aren't pairing. My home has a copy of it - The bearings feel as though they may have rusted due to the high temperatures in the garage. If I were you, I'd not like that at all. In hindsight, I wish I had bought the type that screws into the Schrader valve after coupling.

What I had been looking for
5/5

At the moment I can only comment on the little adaptor included with the quick couplers, but I will rate them later if it proves to be a good purchase. In the past few years, I used my R-Camera frequently On the R-side, there are 12 can taps To produce 134 cans, screw the R-caps onto the cans The collar of the R-12 should be positioned upside down on the threaded outlet The can has 134 ounces. I can then install my old AC gauges onto my vintage Mustang by screwing the tap into the collar and then securing it to the threads inside. In the last time I did this, I didn't make sure the can tap was adequately secured to the freon can and this caused the entire contents of the can to leak out. It is simply a matter of screwing the FJC adaptor on to the R-hole It is possible to use my gauges normally since 134 is a tap outlet. I'm so excited! Make sure you have This is a decision you won't regret.
