In most cases, it will stay on. You can configure it to turn off automatically if you wish. When this button is turned off, you can press both buttons together to enable this functionality.

The readings were solid and I reached 400 microns in good time. The weekend is going to be devoted to its use for a project. In response to your email, I sent an email to Elitech's customer service department. Having waited for four days for a response, there was none. Describe the following Is it expected that the display will read "_ _ _ _ _ _ " until the vacuum is greater than 19000 microns? (When I tested it, I found this to be true. Their pictures show a reading of 19000, even when disconnected from the internet) I saw two codes on the screen when I powered the unit up. A code descriptor is not included in the manual. As a result, I was uncertain if the gauge should be used. I had another project to work on and I couldn't wait.

A nice foam bag was included with the gauge. I found the book easy This is what I used to put in my new HVAC system. I can see why it is a little pricey. I am not disappointed with the product and would recommend it.
