The G1 twin of Appion may be what you are thinking of. There has consistently been a price range in which the G5 fits well.

This is also a vacuum pump, can it be used for that purpose?

A unit will be pulled into a vacuum when it's engaged, but that's not its intended purpose. The refrigerant was only intended for recovery.

What does it do when it vacuums?

Yes, but it takes up only a few ounces of vacuum, I use it to evacuate

Could you please tell me whether you have 240-volt ?

In Appion, this is not the case. One can be ordered from Robinair.

Despite the small size, it is rather fast. These are some of the ones I have. A lightweight, fast machine that can be repaired in the field if necessary. You can buy parts for these and rebuild them yourself This pump has been used to recover thousands of pounds of refrigerant. One of my windshields is just shy of 10 years old, and I have only had to install a seal kit once, and I have not had to repair it since then. One I had began leaking in its first year after recovering a large amount of liquid refrigerant, but the warranty process was easy and hassle-free.

Buying used is a bad idea

A complete waste of time! As the unit was shipped used from Amazon, there were some small scuff marks and irregularities on the outside cover, and the unit was covered in oil, so I thought it was taken apart and put back together again, since the case was bent. A screen at the inlet and an outlet These rings were totally trashed, and the unit looked like it was used to the point of exhaustion before it was returned.

It has worked for me many times, with only one minor freeze lock that was easily removed by using a warm piece of cloth. A standard in the industry for a good reason, this small heater returns everything very fast and it does so In order to improve results of the finished product, we would recommend a moisturize filter.

This is a good HVAC gas, NOT butane

Pumps such as this one work well for automotive and HVAC recovery, but they are not suitable for use in closed-loop butane systems. Several people who have used it for this purpose have discovered trace amounts of pump oil within their final products. It is not explosion-proof and it does not sparkle when applied.
