Questions & Answers

What are the microns that can be pumped by this pump?

It was no problem for us to pull Some of the vehicles took 3 to 4 minutes to pass through 29 Hg It was set to be ready in 5 minutes but we let it run for 45 minutes to be sure all of the solvent I own two of these pumps and they both pull the same, very happy with them.

Is this pump designed to pull how much pressure? The first time I've tried to degas epoxy, I have no clue what I'm doing. ?

use a robinair 3cfm unit that is capable of degassing epoxy and silicone without a problem. As far as I can tell, this unit would do the same thing without issue. My backup pump will be a redundant pump so I will let you know when I have the new one

Can you tell me how big the inlet tube is?

The flare is 1/4" and the ACME is 1/2".

The oil port/exhaust is a 3/4" npt thread, is that correct? The oil mist filter is something I would like to add. ?

There's a M24X1 on it.

The pump arrived just in time to help accomplish an urgent project. The directions include instructions for an oil flush, so I filled the pump with oil, ran the pump for 1 minute, then drained the oil out. As with the pump, it only came with one bottle of oil, and it took the entire bottle to fill up the pump. So the pump is empty now, and I do not have oil to refill it. The company that designed this pump package must be laughing their asses off right now. As a result, I no longer have a useable pump, as it has been properly flushed. Additionally, I needed to vacuum bag a carbon fiber part, but I couldn't find anything in my local hardware store or online that would convert the 1/4 male flare or 1/2 male acme fittings on the pump to a regular pipe thread or straight In order to connect the vacuum tube to the vacuum pump, I needed a 3/8 barbed fitting for the pump. Hours of searching for an adapter yielded no results. This is what has been edited as of It was possible to purchase vacuum pump oil at a local auto parts store, though there were no specifications on the instructions for the pump included in the box or on the bottle of oil I purchased. I also found oil of different colors (the oil provided was light amber, whereas the one I found was In terms of performance, the pump was great after filling it up with oil the second time. When the system is at fully vacuumed, there is a lot of oil fog emitting from the air exhaust while the system is pulling down to final vacuum pressure, but I do not see any oil fog coming out while the pump is running. During an early summer night, I checked the gauge at 170' AGL on a cool, clear night and it had (I know the maximum is 29. 00" of Hg. In standard ATP, 92 at pH 7. 5). As the pump is working and pulling a full vacuum, I'm going to give this product a four-star rating. Taking off the fifth star was due to the fact that the manufacturer only provided enough oil to flush the pump, but not enough to actually use it.

A good DIY AC pump for use in a garage
5/5

The item type I like to pay cash for is a regular one for me. I bought this vacuum pump so I could pull a vacuum from a Dodge R-P A retrofitted 12 system had been modified to run at I was about 14 years old when I signed 134a. Arrangements were made for the pump to arrive on time and in good condition. The package is molded from Styrofoam, which makes it very sanitary when shipping across countries. A clear and concise instruction book is included with the kit. Teflon tape was applied to the connections and oil was added to the pump (it came with the pump, the exact amount needed). The pump began to draw a vacuum immediately after it was fired up. In my gauges, I can read accurately to 30 inches maximum, and this pump pulled slightly less My first impression of the pump is that it runs quiet at full capacity and was able to run for an hour without any issues. I cannot speak for its longevity In contrast, if you need to pull a vacuum for an air conditioning system or want to do some smaller vacuum molding, then this pump should be able to handle your needs.

This is the best ever! It is portable, easy to use, and compact
5/5

My handle is not in the way of the valve, so I can easily add hoses and whatever else Multitasking capability that can handle multiple tasks at the same time. My favorite thing about it is the fact that it does not smoke and uses almost no oil, when compared to all the other vacuum pumps that The vacuum pumps on the market are all oil eaters, and I have tried just about every vacuum pump on the market over the past six years. Two or three quarts every two or three weeks is what I'm talking about! In the two years I've owned this machine, I filled it twice. It actually takes a closer look to see that it does have something similar, but it's such a small amount that it doesn't seem to matter. When compared to other vacuum pumps, much of this steam and smoke is very irritating at best, and potentially dangerous at worse. I can at least see through it unlike the others, but it doesn't produce a large amount of smoke. I am confident that this is going to be my vacuum pump of choice from now on.

The pump was good for the price
5/5

Therefore, I needed to purchase a vacuum pump that can handle multiple jobs without stressing about how it will stand up to heavy usage. My friend Brendan and I read several reviews on this pump and we decided to give it a chance, which we did, and it worked well for us. The problem with this pump is that it just keeps leaking pump oil all over the place and I have no idea what is causing it. As far as the drain plug and the mounting screws (from the pump housing to the motor) are concerned, everything looks good. As I was looking through the sight glass I noticed the level had dropped by approximately 1 ounce. Normally, I am not sending things back, but I will just send this one back since After cleaning it up and putting it on the shelf clean and dry, I noticed that it was leaking oil all over. I knew some oil blow by was normal, but not after use and after cleaning it up and putting it on the shelf clean and dry. Perhaps the company should focus more on quality control and ensure that everything is in working order before the product leaves. Additionally, the website for the company is a mess!! It does not contain proper links to get advice or a place to find replacement parts, it just says to return to the store. Please "Like" this. A great pump for the price. It is fast and easy to use, can draw 30 inches of vacuum when not connected to anything else, and can get around 28-32 inches of vacuum when connected. Connect the vacuum to the job to get 29in of vacuum. Inlets 1/2 in acme and 1/4 in flare on it make it easy to adapt it to your needs.
Starts quickly and runs quietly.
Holes 1/2 in acme and 1/4 in flare allow for easy modification. Likes and dislikes. Where it comes from I cannot see just where it is coming from and it keeps leaking oil. All in all, this pump is quite good for the price as well.

I found it to be excellent for the intended purpose

The pump and all of the accessories it requires to service my car were half the price of having someone do it for me. It worked great for the intended purpose. I used it to service my car's air conditioning system.

After a week of using it, I was done with In other words, the unit stopped sucking after a week

Changing the oil seemed like it might be the issue? It didn't help in any way. As it was on a milking machine, I used it for about an hour or so every time. However, it spit so much oil all over that I had to refill it after three First time I'm using an oil-filled rotary vacuum pump and I have no idea if it should spit that much oil or not. Anyway, I guess. Thanks for your help. I believe that these could use a bit more quality control to be sure they do not burn themselves up so quickly.

I like the fact that this is not only a pull game
4/5

The range is 25 Hg to -35 Hg There are 26 Hg in the atmosphere. Overall, I think it is not a bad pump considering the price I paid. It has pros. I. - Nothing to speak of in terms of oiling and oil smoke* - I was not expecting a pump this efficient to work quickly for a single stage 1/3rd horsepower. I. - This is a great design, with easy filling of the oil and a I. - Quite a quiet vacuum pump (for an electric vacuum pump), but it does have a few drawbacks. I. - The only one I managed to pull was In the range of 25 Hg 26.
