Questions & Answers

In order to refill does the freon need to be drained?

The disk does not recover! The device is used when there is no pressure on the system. If you are pulling a vacuum after repairs, the vacuum removes all air from the system and pulls water out of the oil. This should be lasted for one to three hours and no leaks should occur before recharging the system.

Is it possible to test the pump by using the gauges?

It is not for testing the pump that the gauges are used. Then you hook up the red and blue hoses to the hot and cold sides on your vehicle, and you hook up the yellow hose to the vacuum pump and the second Afterwards, you will need to bring the gauge manifold up to pressure by opening the blue and red valves after making sure that your vacuum pump has the correct amount of oil. With the vacuum pulled, you will see the needles on the gauges move. You don't need to do any more testing if the gauges prove that the pump is effectively pulling a vacuum. The gauges will indicate when the desired vacuum is reached based on the vacuum you are pulling. After you have disconnected the yellow hose from the pump, connect that end of the hose to the freon supply. As soon as you open the valve on the cannister or canisters, the vacuum in the system pulls in the freon from the cold side (low pressure side). You can close the red valve (hot side, high pressure), but can open the blue valve. Your car's engine must be running before you let the freon in, and the back and front air conditioners must be fully cooled. It should take approximately 12 ounces or so of refrigerant to engage the compressor clutch, which will in turn trigger the vehicle's compressor to pull the refrigerant from the tank. There may be an issue with the compressor or the compressor clutch if that is the case. You should check the compressor clutch relay located in one of the fuse boxes of the vehicle in that situation. Make sure the prongs are clean and then put it back in It is easy to install. The lockup will not engage if these steps are not followed, in which case either the relay, the clutch or the compressor is defective and needs repairing.

In the picture, it appears that R134 quick connects are being used. Do they appear to be included in the list?

This is a replacement for R134. I placed an order for r410a but was unaware that it had been changed when it was confirmed. In response to my inquiry, the seller said I could buy the connector for the R410a. It's been a while since I bought anything.

What type of container should I use with this pump? Can I use normal freon cans, or do I have to use a commercial type?

Small aerosol cans should only be used with screw-on valves or fittings. My sincerest thanks

The vacuum pump is the only thing involved
4/5

No 410 adapter should have been mentioned since I bought the mini split along with this and had to wait a week for the 410a to 134 adapter to arrive.

In case you want to add or recharge your AC with Freon, you will need R134a tubing
3/5

I was very satisfied with the product because the vacuum and the AC manifold looked like the expensive ones, but when we were able to charge the AC with Freon, we had to buy a new set of R 134 a hoses from Auto Parts Warehouse for $50 more. This product's description claims that it is compatible with R134a, but it is - The coupling will not fit the Can Tap adapter (T shape). The thread size is a bit smaller than the usual one on adapters. I found the vacuum to be very useful. I am happy with the overall product, though I had to spend more money on an item I thought was included (as a package). It would be good if they were more accurate in.

I can't speak to delivery, but I can speak to the product
3/5

It is easy to use AC gages. I am sorry, but the vacuum pump didn't arrive with the gage set. A vendor told us he would send it the day after the gages were delivered that he would send it in two days. I just got the pump (on 9/2) and the pump isn't pumped After speaking with the vendor once again, they admitted that they could send a replacement if I wanted, and I might as well have it sent. Now that the pump I ordered two weeks ago has not arrived, my project is stalled.

Make use of the extra cash in another way
3/5

As with any purchase, when I received it there were pieces missing even though it shows in the picture there was a place for in the box of the box so be warned they don't work the greatest but fingers crossed it will work better than everything else has otherwise it was a waste of money.

The operation of the machine is simple
4/5

have only used this machine twice since I got it, which is about 2 months ago As far as I can tell, everything is going well, but you need to pay attention to the There isn't much text in the instruction manual, but operating the machine is pretty straightforward or just go to I hope that it will last a little longer, because it works well.

I love this

The oil needs to be added. For a self-install of a mini split four-zone HVAC system, I pulled a good vacuum.

as far as money is concerned
4/5

The product performs just as advertised, but the gauge scales and accuracy for vacuum are truly inadequate. There are no graduations, the full scale vacuum has a movement of 3/16 of an inch and it has no A vacuum pump that works as described.
