Questions & Answers

What am I supposed to do with this? I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you're getting at. ?

It's a vacuum breaker/backflow preventer that's installed between the faucet and the shower hose on a shower faucet. It keeps the water from contaminating the potable water system by preventing it from flowing back into the shower tub. For use with a recreational vehicle.

When I tighten mine down, the water flow is cut off. What type of gasket is used for this?

On the small end of the diverter body, there appears to be a "half grommet" type seal. A common "shower hose" flat seal is used on the large end. I hope you find this information useful.

Are all of these features included in RVs? It'll be for a 98 Sea Breeze rv original shower faucet that's leaking through the weep hole. What is the procedure for setting up? Is that Teflon tape you're talking about? Deta?

Only Valterra faucets, which have been used on the majority of RVs, are likely to have these as standard. For a seal, the small end is inserted into a rubber "Grommet." A standard shower hose with a flat O-ring is used on the large end. ring.

Are these standard if they all look the same?

Valterra faucets are most likely the only ones with this feature.

The facet does not need to be removed
5/5

It's simple to set up in the outdoor shower. Remove the hose and the old broken part with pliers, then screw in the new part and check for leaks with a proper (don't remember the size) screwdriver. br>YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR WORK.

It works
5/5

My RV's outside shower had a leak, so I fixed it. I'd "winterized" my RV, but there was still some water in the valve. It became ice cold and eventually shattered. It was fixed thanks to this piece. I'm content with myself.

Maintain a supply of spares in your RV

ORDER 2. When showering on the old one, there was a massive leak out of the weep hole. Water in the fresh water tank now lasts much longer. No tools are required for installation; only removal requires them. Always have spares on hand! br>br>.
